Higgins measures in at 5’10 150-pounds playing WR and also running varsity track. He had 5 receptions for 125 yards with 1 touchdown against Rock Canyon. Higgins displays good athletic ability due to his very good acceleration, good balance, speed, change of direction, and jumping. Good release at the line of scrimmage. Higgins was able to get open all night long with his good separation quickness. Very good ball tracking with good catching. Higgins was a reliable target for his QB. He has good ball adjustment and body control skills. Good yards after the catch ability too. Higgins has proven himself this season and this game was no different.

Higgins delivered a productive performance despite his team coming up short, finishing with 12 receptions for 132 yards. While he did not find the end zone, Higgins consistently created opportunities as a receiving target and showed the ability to separate from coverage. His wide catch radius was another standout trait, allowing him to make difficult receptions and give his quarterback a dependable option downfield. Higgins’ ability to consistently win the 50/50 catches and come down with the ball even with defenders on him makes him an intriguing receiver to monitor. The production was impressive and continued performances like this could help Higgins generate more attention from college scouts throughout the remainder of the season.

Brayden Higgins Brayden Higgins 5'10" | 150 lbs | ATH/K Fossil Ridge | 2027 State CO is a top threat for Fossil Ridge.  Higgins does a good job of quickly getting vertical after the catch to get instant YAC.  He is strong with the ball in his hands and consistently sheds oncoming tacklers that don’t take good angles and runs through arm tackles.  He shows good route running to consistently break into open space against off coverage and zone defenses. Higgins finished the season with 25 catches for 278 yds and 3 TDs, 11.1 YPC.  With most of their weapons returning this season outside of  their WR1 graduating, the Fossil Ridge offense and Higgins should align for a big jump in 2026.
