About Hudson

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am consistent at Center and I love to pick up blitz's and pride myself on protecting my quarterback. I allowed 0 sacks in over 460 shotgun snaps. I am an aggressive run blocker and I would say part of my success comes because of my strength and knowing how to use my leverage as a wrestler to win one on one matchups.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I don't ever give up or get down. I always have a positive mindset and I inspire my teammates to always have hope. I am consistent and steady.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am a 3 sport athlete so in addition to football I wrestle and throw shot & discus and I also lift weights year round.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

As a 3 sport athlete I have learned discipline, commitment and resiliency in each sport and in the classroom.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Honestly I have lived a very blessed life and God has been gracious to me and my family. Recently though my Grandpa was diagnosed with dementia and so that has been difficult to think that he may not be able to stay on this journey with me. He is one of my biggest fans and calls almost weekly to get updates on how I am doing and takes a lot of pride in his grandson succeeding.

What type of college are you looking for?

I just want to play at the next level and help my team be successful.

Hudson showcased his strength and physicality on the evening. He worked the defensive side during the one-on-one drills. He has a quick burst to his game and moves well laterally. He does a good job of getting into his linemen’s body and overwhelming them. When he does that, he uses his hands to throw them off and finishes up the rep well. He is best on the interior, and he is a fun prospect to watch work in the trenches.

Smith will be a pivotal part for the Lakers. He is the best lineman on either side of the ball, and the run game should be going through him. For the Lakers to keep the time of possession, they need to lean on him. Smith shows good strength and is a physical lineman; he moves well and does a good job at getting to the second level on run blocks.
