had a strong overall showing, leading the Monarchs to a runner-up finish and displaying an improved skill set. It’s clear RJ has been working on his craft this offseason, as he looked smoother through his throwing motion and seemed sharper in his decision-making with the ball. He has solid arm strength that can hit all three levels of the field and flashed good timing on his passes. RJ displayed good footwork as he moves through his drops and can does a good job stepping into his throws to get the most power out of his passes.

will look to continue growing in his role as the Monarch’s QB1 after a season with some ups and downs. RJ completed 50% of his passes for 902 yards and five touchdowns while giving us glimpses of his upside last season. RJ has the measurables that coaches will look for at 6’2″ and 200 pounds with underrated athleticism (4.68 40-yard dash) that make him an interesting evaluation. He is very quick and decisive when making a decision with the ball and shows the arm strength to rip it into tight windows over the middle of the field. Vitera uses his feet and instincts well when trying to avoid the pass rush and can find ways to still step into his throws despite defenders around him. RJ’s touch and ball placement look a little more refined from watching some offseason 7v7 clips. Big year coming up for RJ and the Monarchs.
