He did a lot of good things on the Hawks’ freshman team as a running back, which originally caught our attention, but he was a top performer at defensive back at our Combine Series camp earlier this summer, too. Morris has some juice with the ball in his hands as a young playmaker and should develop nicely in their program once his varsity opportunity comes in the future. Ultimately, the position he emerges at is to be determined, but Morris has the potential to excel in a few different spots due to his raw athletic ability as a young player.

signed up as a running back for the Combine Series but showcased a lot of potential and upside as a defensive back throughout the day. His build is better suited for DB early on in his career, and you can envision his body developing into a high-level corner type with time spent in the weight room. Morris’ long arms and wingspan will serve him well moving forward on defense once he continue to learn the technique and fundamentals of the position.

flashed for the University Hawks’ younger squad this past season and is a prospect to keep an eye on in the future once he gets his varsity opportunity. Morris showed glimpses of dynamic playmaking ability out of the backfield with a very good burst. He’s very quick and shifty and can make sudden cuts which makes him a difficult tackle, especially in space. Morris can accelerate to his top speed almost instantly and also has very good make-you-miss ability. He’ll have to battle teammates in his own class for varsity running back snaps, but Morris is likely the type of athlete who could develop into a very good receiver or defensive back as well.
