Here we take a look at the MVP's by position from the PRZ Showcase in Forest Grove this weekend. More than half of the athletes in attendance were all conference/all state selections this past year. You can also check the Top Performers list on the site for other individuals who did well.

Overall + RB [player_tooltip player_id='914281' first='Koen' last='Campos'] 5-11 195 26' West Salem

Campos left no doubt on Sunday walking away as the Overall MVP. The standout RB is equally dangerous as a receiver and could project as a D1 FCS type back. Titan head coach Shawn Stanley, one of Oregon's all-time greats, has coached numerous division 1 athletes and Campos could be another one. He earned 1st team all-conference honors, going for close to 2000 yards and 22 TDs last season, and will team with [player_tooltip player_id='769995' first='Evan' last='Wusstig'] to give West Salem one of the best offensive duos in the state.

QB Emmit Distefano 6-0 180 27' Thurston

Distefano will be the guy at Thurston in the years ahead, playing behind 5A standout Noah Blair last season. He was an MVP at the event and a kid you could see make a big jump up the rankings board with continued progression. The Colts have traditionally been one of the better teams in the state at their classification level, and Distefano gives them a legit shot to keep that trend going.

QB [player_tooltip player_id='1161283' first='Madden' last='Hughes'] 5-11 160 28' Stayton

One of the great things about showcases is that they allow you to put yourself on the map. The freshman Hughes of 4A Stayton did just that, looking the part and then some. He had 27 total TD's this past season and could move up next year and be the guy, for a good Eagles program that went 7-4, with two of those losses coming to state champ Marist.

WR [player_tooltip player_id='1600701' first='Elijah' last='Williams'] 5-9 160 27' WR Central Catholic

The Rams continue to reload year after year and Wiliams is a good example of that. A lot of credit to him for getting out and performing as he did. Even though he was an MVP at receiver, look for him to potentially start in the secondary for CC, opposite 1st team All Mt Hood standout [player_tooltip player_id='1585700' first='Cole' last='Thomas'].

LINE [player_tooltip player_id='1341235' first='Jaxon' last='Barber'] 6-3 300 26' OL Lincoln

Barber will likely add a few D1 offers over the offseason, once he hits the collegiate circuit. The 2nd team all PIL returner was easily one of the most impressive athletes in the building, and in the top three when referencing overall MVP voting. He will project on the interior as a guard, playing with a mean streak and the nastiness needed to compete at the highest level.

LB [player_tooltip player_id='1224421' first='Carter' last='Christiansen'] 6-4 200 25' LB Wilsonville

As mentioned multiple times already, you can't say enough good things about Christiansen. The 1st team all-league, honorable mention all-state, 2x state champ has the intangibles to do well at the next level. If he ends up at a D2 he will be a multiyear starter and all conference OLB. He will probably play at 225-235 pounds collegiately and be an academic All American wherever he ends up. Don't be surprised if a FCS university comes in late and develops him. He's the type of kid every coach wants on their roster.

DB [player_tooltip player_id='986706' first='Raymond' last='Perez'] 5-8 150 28' CB Milwaukie

Speaking of breakout performers, you have to feel good if you are coach Jonathan Simpson at Milwaukie with some of the kids they have coming up. Perez is undersized and only a freshman but was one of the best overall athletes in attendance, earning DB MVP honors. Look for him to be a three-year all conference starter for the Mustangs.
