About Madden

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am an athletic quarterback with a strong arm and the ability to run. i can use my legs to extend plays and turn potential negative plays into positive plays for my team. As a Varsity starter my sophomore season I led my team to a 7-3 record and a trip to the playoffs. I received 2nd team all league award and can't wait to keep improving.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I consider myself to be a natural born leader. As the son of a coach I understand every aspect of the game and my teammates look to me for direction and when the game is on the line I like to have the ball in my hands.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am a member of National Honor Society.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I was team captain for football and basketball. I volunteered at multiple youth camps and love to give back to the community through events at my school.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a college that fits me both academically and has a strong football culture. I love the game of football and look forward to the opportunity to play at the next level.

Hughes is a poised and intelligent quarterback who shows a strong command of the offense, especially for a sophomore. He processes defenses well, makes sound decisions, and consistently puts his team in good positions to succeed. His mobility adds another layer to his game, allowing him to extend plays and create when things break down. As he continues to develop physically, adding more velocity and consistency to his throws will elevate his overall ceiling. With his feel for the game and steady play, he’s a quarterback who will keep trending upward.

Hughes showed promise leading the Stayton offense as a sophomore quarterback. Playing the position at the varsity level requires poise and decision-making, both of which Hughes demonstrated during the season. His ability to guide the offense and distribute the ball effectively helped Stayton remain competitive throughout the year. With more experience under his belt, Hughes could grow into one of the conference’s top signal callers.
