Xavian is going to be up there in the running for the #1 player in this Class when it debuts after the season. The 6′ 170 lbs athlete is standing out for the Bradford JV on both sides of the ball right from the first week. On defense the long athlete was piling up tackles while playing in the box. The freshman did really well finding the ball, filling without getting blocked, and making sound tackles. On offense we really got to see his special gifts on display. The speed to take the top off the defense and ball skills to reel in those deep shots. The tape also shows that Xavian has the strength to turn quick passes into long chunk plays or scores with some physical running. Kenosha Bradford is well known for producing special athletes and Xavian Pope looks like he will be helping keep that tradition alive.

Pope was a strong performer and a player who had a good combine portion then backed up his skills in 1v1 and 7v7’s. I liked his hands, and his physicality at the line allowed him to knock WR’s off their spot. His vision and IQ were on display as he got his head around on a few reps.

Heading to Wisconsin, we have DB Xavian Pope. The Racine-Case prospect, showcased an elite frame this past weekend. He was a solid performer who can easily make an impact as a DB. I like his footwork, and his ability to track the ball regardless of his position is elite. Off the line he has a strong hand, which can knock players out of position. Overall an elite threat who can easily compete for the top spot in Wisconsin.

The Chicago Regional DB MVP, hailing from Wisconsin will be in attendance. The Future Racine prospect will make the trip from the land of Cheese all the east to the Atlantic Coast. I am curious to see how Pope holds up against a stacked group of offered and future top prospect WR’s.

One of the best defensive backs / wide receivers in all of the 2030 class in the state of Wisconsin. Xavian Pope is one of those players and that’s one major reason he is headed to New Jersey for the “RIZE” event to compete against other talented players from around the Country. Pope has a great deal of athleticism and game IQ. He is a complete baller, and you are about to once again see why!

Pope was one of the three at this event that ran a sub 5 second 40 yard dash at 4.97. On the hoof, he has a great frame at 5110 160, with lots of length and very lean. He also put down a 4.44 pro shuttle, 6.79 cone, 9’1 broad jump. The growth potential here is huge, he should be a good sized secondary prospect in a few years. In agilities, he showed lots of wiggle and lateral juice. He took reps at receiver to show his versatility. Pope is a DB though. In coverage, he was a blanket. Physical at the line of scrimmage in press, used his length at the catch point, attached himself to the hip pocket, very natural in coverage against the best receivers there. He dominated one on ones. On top of that, Pope was highly coachable.
