Magro is a player who is intriguing in the 2029 Class. Standing at 5’9″ 155-Pounds, he has an undersized frame, but is still growing, and shows the ability to fit into a WR frame. Magro has limited in game film for the Friars, but was a star standout at our PRZ Winter Showcase, and was easily an impressive athlete. He showcased an elite route running ability, paired with good speed and hands off the line. Magro will have a big impact this season with St. Anthony’s, and watch out for him moving forward.

Magro is a young star WR from the Catholic League. The Friar WR, stands at 5’9″ 155-Pounds, and displays a solid size for a young WR. I want to see him reach the 180-Pound mark to fill out his frame. Film is limited, but he dominated at out Prep Redzone New York Showcase, in Warwick a few weeks ago.
Magro was one of the youngest WR’s in attendance, and yet he performed like he had been there before. Magro was a quick, and had solid 40, shuttle, and L-Drill times throughout the afternoon. He was solid in 1v1 drills, and held his own amongst some of the top DB’s. He displayed good hands making tough catches look easy, and I liked his first step which gained separation, and allowed him to move north and south with ease on routes.
Magro is young being only a Freshman, and with the potential he has, he can easily be one of the top WR’s in the state in 2029.

One of the stand out performers from this weekend, Cole Magro set himself apart from a large chunk of the of the other competitors. Cole is up there with the fastest players at the camp. He first caught my attention on the 40 yard dash, but as I saw him move through the agility drills it became apparent that Cole is special talent at the receiver position.
As we moved to the position drills and live action against the DBs, Cole really began expressing his full potential on the field by carving up silky smooth routes and demonstrating great speed and quickness. I was thoroughly impressed with Cole’s quickness off of the line and the speed at which he could transition from one direction to another. Cole is a future slot weapon down the line.
