Expert Analysis
Matt DeBary | Prep Redzone Scout
One of the hottest prospects in Georgia right now, Tillman is a speedy, shifty runner who showed last season for McDonough that he’s one of the fastest backs in the state, claiming a 10.5 in the 100-meter dash. He reads the hole and knows how to take off and out-run defenders down the field. Tillman earned recent offers from Georgia and Miami with more likely coming his way this spring. The Miami native will play his senior season at Lithonia where he will likely run through defenses with ease next fall. His stock is rising, and his recruitment could absolutely take off even more sooner than later.

A speedy metro-Atlanta back south of the city, Tillman is a threat to score anytime he has the ball and saw a respectable Power Four offer come his way this week from Boston College. The 5-foot-11 175-pounder from McDonough is quick, shifty, and one of the better backs in the region. Sharing carries, Tillman ran for 461 yards and five touchdowns on just 61 carries, averaging an impressive 7.6 yards per carry. He hit the 100-yard mark twice and should see more carries and opportunities come his way as a junior next season. He’s currently ranked as the No. 32 RB prospect in the state.

Tillman is a burner with a 10.93 100M PR (4/25). Featherweight, paper-thin. Has breakaway and stay-away speed. Mostly a get it and go runner, but has the wiggle, vision, and patience to bounce the ball outside. He will have to pack on some mass to his frame, but this kid can roll. His speed should put him in position to play in college.

It was a tough season for Tillman’s McDonough squad, but the sophomore brought his “A” game all season long. He was really productive, running for 1,041 yards and 12 touchdowns. He ran for over 100 yards in five of his nine games, running for multiple touchdowns in five of those games as well. He ran for at least 130 yards in four of his nine games and ran for an eye-opening 203 yards and two touchdowns against North Clayton. Look for him to light up the stat sheet again as a junior this upcoming season.

10.93 100M (4/25). Featherweight, paper-thin. Has breakaway and stay-away speed. Mostly a get-it-and-go runner, but has the wiggle, vision, and patience to bounce the ball outside. He will have to add more mass and play strength, but he has time and room to do so. Tillman can burn and still has physical maturity left in the tank. He will be best in a scat-back role at the next level. I am expecting D1 buzz down the line.

There wasn’t a ton of run plays during the game but you could see Tillman’s ability. The 23rd Ranked RB in the 2027 Class had a couple of nice double digit runs against an intimidating DL. Tall, lean RB with good speed that can explode through an opening. Showed off his DB skills with a nice PBU to save a big gain.
Outlook
Tough sledding on an 0-10 season but Tillman made the most of it rushing for over 1000 yards. He handled kick return duties and showed good hands out of the backfield. He scored 13 total TDs and added 2 INT on defense for the Warhawks. Stock Riser.
