About Jeremiah-Steven
Expert Analysis
Cooper Morreale | Prep Redzone Scout
Jeremiah Steven Beverly is a talented EDGE with a huge senior season ahead for Hillcrest this upcoming fall.
“Beverly is exceptional at setting the edge and stopping the run- he does a great job fighting off blocks and sealing off the edge, coming up with huge stops behind the line of scrimmage, and not allowing for any big gains on the ground.
Beverly is just as productive as a pass rusher. He has a wide variety of moves he uses to beat OL into the backfield and generate pressure/force bad decisions. Beverly was able to rack up sacks and force QBs into bad throws all of last fall, making him a force to be accounted for every down.”
Beverly took some huge steps this past season, truly dominating on Hillcrest’s defensive front all year long. I’m looking forward to his senior year; he’s set up for a ton of success this fall.

Beverly is arguably the best pure power rusher in the state, combining physical strength with refined technique that separates him from his peers. His game is an example of controlled violence — he consistently looks to dominate reps rather than simply win them. At contact, his long-arm extension and grip strength shine; he uses powerful rip moves to clear hands and reset leverage and effects games on a play by play basis.
He also brings leg drive that creates push and routinely works blockers backward into the quarterback’s lap while collapsing pockets. Beverly first step is violent and sudden, allowing him to get skinny and slip blocks before linemen can fully set. What elevates Beverly beyond a raw power profile is his technical polish and competitive drive. Look for him to make a run for Mr. Football and be a prominent name in the recruiting cycle.

Beverly has been generating D1 interest this offseason and picked up an offer from Troy a few months back. I won’t be surprised to see more schools send them his way soon- he’s a talented player with a ton of potential at the next level.

Leaner, leggier prospect at this stage. Explosive off the snap to immediately compromise front. Engages contact well for a thinner guy, doesn’t get washed. Stays on his feet and patient setting the edge. Pursues the ball well. Physical player with plenty of growth available. Has some D1 offers to his name. I would offer him at a P4 school to learn more about him. I am intrigued.

A physically imposing defensive tackle, Beverly dominates with his raw power. He moves exceptionally well for his size, making plays sideline to sideline. His hand placement and ability to disengage allow him to control blockers with ease. He has steadily improved his pass-rushing ability, adding finesse moves to his arsenal. His stock continues to rise as he refines his technique.
