Evan was the pounder deep inside the redzone when the Sentinels needed a spark from their 2026 fullback. He certainly got some of the most blue-collar yards for their offense that were the hardest yards to get. Evan is another one out of this list from Minot North that could use more NSIC attention in my eyes at either offensive or defensive spot as a prospect on their way up our rankings.

Evan was one of couple linebackers on this list that were impactful on both sides of the ball for Minot North. He was well-versed in the state championship game with locking in with his vision that on the reps he was able to penetrate downhill, he was able to slow down the Firebirds rushing attack as I also like the pursuit angles even used to get down to the ball along with his fluid movement. He is also a balanced shedder thru contact for his 5’9 215 pound frame that needs more attention at the collegiate level in my eyes. If you need a gritty fullback still in your offense, Evan could be your fit as I think he’s one of the better fullbacks this state has to offer in this class.

This part 2 list is stacked with talent from Minot North for good reason, as they have a lot of recruitable athletes that are under the radar as another one that made some noise this summer for me at camps was linebacker Evan Berg Evan Berg 5'9" | 206 lbs | LB/RB Minot North | 2026 State ND . I like the vison and speed that Evan progresses wtih getting downhill to the ball as one that it’s evident that he plays with a deeper game speed versus what his testing numbers might show. He also brings the position flexibility as one of the better fullbacks this state has to offer in this 2026 class, as obviously one that is a quite dependable blocker but actually impressed me with his hands as a pass-catcher as well that has good vision to move the sticks for your team at the next-level.

Evan was in my “LBs to Watch” preview ahead of our Prep Redzone Dakotas Showcase, and I felt based on the live reps he lived up to that hype we had pre-showcase. I could tell, that Evan is a linebacker that lives for the live reps as his game-speed, high motor, and downhill movement all were in play in the reps I got to watch during Indy drills. I also was impressed with the traslation from tape to live reps from Evan, as he showed off a sound base of balance when watching his pursuit angles. One that is certainly due to be a stockriser by our next 2026 rankings update coming up soon.

The middle linebacker shows off it doesn’t take long for him to show you how well he eats up running backs right up the A-gap as not only does he plug the hole with precision, he surely shows off as a linebacker that will put you on your back with how physical his contact appears to be. The tape shows that Evan brings a destroyer menatlity to getting off blocks, with his well-versed strength he has at his disposal. Evan also appears to me as a high-motor and growing instincts with his vision, as one that I have pre circled for camp and for college coaches to watch tomorrow as a first team All-State linebacker in 11AA last year.
