About Hudson

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

My style of play as a tight end is built on toughness, effort, and reliability. I enjoy contact, take pride in blocking, and work to create space for my teammates. In the passing game, I focus on precise routes, strong hands, and being dependable when my number is called. I play with discipline, confidence, and a next-play mentality.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I’m a high school tight end who plays with a physical, disciplined, and team-first style. I take pride in blocking in the run game and being a reliable target in the passing game. Mentally, I focus on preparation, confidence, and staying locked in from snap to whistle. I play with strong football IQ, respond well to coaching, and maintain a next-play mentality in all situations.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am involved in FCA, my church and I love to help coach young football camps.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have learned from my parents, coaches and other players that when we support each other, hold each other accountable and lift each other up, we are more successful. I may not be the loudest in the locker room, I’m actually pretty quiet. I’ve also learned that not everyone can be the leader on a team, but we all have roles within the team that we need to understand and that is our responsibility.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I lost my cousin, Price in May. He was killed in a tractor accident involving a semi. He was 6 months younger than me and we were not just cousins, we were friends. We loved to play basketball against each other and it was highly competitive. Price will never be able to experience the things I get to experience. I do not take any of it for granted. I play for my cousin, Price. I miss him everyday.

What type of college are you looking for?

I would like to find a college that has a good chemical engineering or chemical program. I would also like a college that will provide me another 2-4 years of playing this game that I love.
