NY Recruiting Report Pt. XXXIII

Now that we're entering the final portion of recruiting season, we moved commitments up to the top so readers can see those first. As DIII offers really start to pour in, offers will be placed at the bottom. A ton of guys this week picked up DIII offers, but not many D1 offers that are new, as many D1 programs are in the midst of a playoff/bowl game push or could even be without an HC.   Check out the last <a href="https://prepredzone.com/2024/11/ny-recruiting-report-pt-xxxii-2/">recruiting report HERE</a>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">COMMITMENTS</h2>    Pedreros, formerly committed to Fordham, announced this week his commitment to Buffalo - Pedreros is a big TE prospect with the body type that fits the MAC TE mold. Pedreros was a key blocker for a good Monsignor Farrell run game and flashed the ability to make plays as a receiver.   A true in-line prospect, he has great length, uses his upper body well as a blocker with good hand placement and shows solid movement skills in the open field. His size and athleticism make him a red zone threat, and he is the type of TE who can be utilized as a blocker in short-yardage situations, as the only TE in 11 personnel with some spread concepts. Buffalo gets a well-rounded prospect at the TE position.     Gatchalian first jumped on my radar about two years back when he dominated a PrepRedzone camp, and since then, he has been an exceptional performer each time I have seen him. Gatchalian is a very talented route runner; he has excellent balance and a low center of gravity. Combine that with strong hands, which he consistently catches away from his body, and Gatchalian commits to Saint Anselm. They get a really talented WR whose position-specific skillset is more college-ready than a lot of WRs in New York.     Javier has been a mainstay performer in CHSFL AA for a couple of years and one of the most effective passers in the division - committed to Pace. Javier film shows an accurate passer who is efficient with the ball - I saw him at PrepRedzone camp and he showed a really smooth release and the ability to reset his feet quick and deliver in that short and intermediate range.     Bachmore, one of the top OL/DL prospects from Long Island, commits to Colby College. Bachmore is a talented enough lineman to play on either side of the ball at the next level. However, he likely ends up at DT because of his explosiveness, power, and ability to play with leverage consistently. Bachmore moves guys both offensively and defensively ann although a little undersized really shows some strength on tape.     The Sachem North OT is a physical prospect who likely slides to guard at the next level. Portillo picked up a PWO to Stony Brook and committed this week. Portillo plays with a great motor, always moving his feet, and consistently fights for better hand position. He moves well on a lot of the outside zone stuff you see on tape.   Stony Brook gets a really good developmental OL prospect in Portillo - a college weight program gives Portillo a chance to build even more strength and power into his game if he moves to the interior of the OL.    <h2 class="wp-block-heading">OFFERS</h2>    Albright, out of Moore Catholic, is a player whose live evaluation when I saw Moore Catholic play early in the season really will boost his stock - he picked up an offer from LIU. Formerly playing in Jersey, Albright plays both ways for Moore Catholic but has a D1 OL build with massive arms and some good movement skills for his size.     Kimble, the #1 player in the 2027 class continues to pick up FBS offers, most recent coming from Boston College - Kimble followed up an exceptional freshman season with a sophomore season just as dominant.     Whitehead continues to pick up D3 offers, most recently from Kean, Monmouth College, Muhlenburg, and Waynesburgh University.     Ventura picked up a PWO offer from Stony Brook - the DL prospect from Sachem East was a team captain, has a 3.8 GPA - is a 2x All Division 1st team player that has great accolades. On tape, Ventura plays with a great motor and is a physical finisher.     Burbatsky, out of Commack, is a huge prospect at 6'6 320 - he picked up a PWO offer from Stony Brook - Burbatsky has the size of a D1 OL prospect but is also productive at the DT position. I think in the right defensive scheme, he could give you some DT looks at the next level, but his size at the OT position could be an asset as well.     Parker, one of the better K prospects from Section III, picked up an offer from Culver-Stockton College.     Pinto, a K prospect out of Mahopac in Section I, received his first offer from Western New England.     Robinson remains a name on the recruiting report—his most recent offer comes from Colby College.     The do-it-all athlete from Shaker picked up offers from Western New England & Norwich. Teabout has played a little bit of everything for Shaker and is one of the top multi-position performers in Section II.     Ogelle out of Highland is a big OL prospect at 6'3 315 and on tape seems to be a really solid athlete - he picked up his first offer from Cortland.     Callard, a Soccer Player who also kicks for Medina, is a 4.5-star Kicker and a 4-star Punter on Kohls. He picked up an offer from Cortland.     Riggs who is one of the top prospects from Long Island picked up an offer from Cortland his first DIII offer - Riggs picked up a PWO from Stony Brook last week.     Galbraith, one of the top TEs in the State, picked up offers from Cortland & RPI. The Carmel TE/DE has been a big part of the program's success over the past three seasons and now picks up his first offer from the next level.     Keathley, who is a dynamic two-way athlete for Waverly, picked up an offer from Cortland. Before the season, Keathley picked up a few opportunities and now is up to 4 offers.     Ernst, who is committed to Gannon, picked up an offer from Cortland - although committed, Ernst still is picking up offers/interest from some New York programs.     Heptig, a big part of the success of the Shenendehowa defense picked up an offer from Cortland, Heptig played LB for Shenendehowa but easily has the athleticism to transition to more of a SS/Rover role at the next level.     Tuttle, who is a talented two-way athlete, picked up his first offer from Cortland; Tuttle can impact the game on either side of the ball at the next level in addition to providing some special team value as a returner.     Switek, one of the top RB prospects out of WNY - picked up an offer from Saint Anselm, his first DII offer to go along with some DIII offers earned throughout the fall.     The Eastridge DL prospect, who is highly productive and a key part of the Eastridge Sectional title run, picked up his first offer from NAIA Culver-Stockton.     Williams Jr picked up an offer from Hilbert one of the Local DIII schools, the North Tonawanda ATH played both ways but is likely a DB at the next level, the position where he had his best success for NT.     DiGregorio picked up his first offer from McDaniel College and the captain for St. Joseph-by-the-Sea has been a big part in their championship run.     Schmitt is an LB prospect out of St. Joe's in Buffalo who play for the Mongisnor Martin championship this weekend picked up an offer from Baldwin Wallace     I actually missed Casey's first DIII offer but I saw that he picked up an offer from Cortland this week. Really like what he puts on tape at the safety position, and overall a really good athlete with some speed you see on film.
