Coyle put together a strong season that firmly placed him on the Division II radar. He finished with 83 total tackles, five tackles for loss and one interception, highlighting his ability to impact the game in multiple ways. Coyle plays with physicality and confidence, showing comfort stepping up in run support while still holding his own against speedy receivers in coverage. His tackling consistency and football IQ make him a for sure tackler in the open field. As attention continues to build around his profile, Coyle projects as a defensive back who can contribute early at the next level and continue developing into a reliable, every down defender.

Coyle was a defensive presence, leading both teams in total tackles. He had 10 total tackles (7 solo, 3 assisted), and 3 TFL. His very good athletic ability was on full display throughout the championship. Coyle would go from being the deep safety or into the box. He’d consistently make plays in the running game as the deep safety. Very good strength and tackling. Very good mental processing by putting himself in position to make a play. He’d stay patient on rushing plays, rushing the correct gap and gaining a tackle for loss. One impressive play was when he made a goal line stop, stopping a walk in TD. Great performance for the senior’s last game.

Coyle continues to dominate with 6 carries for 97 yards and 1 touchdown with 10 total tackles (3 solo, 7 assisted), and 0.5 TFL. The 5’10 RB/ SS has very good athletic ability due to very good speed, jumping, acceleration, and change of direction. On offensive, he has very good inside and outside running. Very good vision. Explosive quick start with very good juke moves to make defenders miss. He’s gets yards after contact due to his balance and slipping off defenders. As a safety, he ranges from run support to zone coverage. Very good read and reaction speed. He consistently puts himself in a position to make a play. Very good tackling. Wraps up and pulls the ball carrier with ease. Coyle is a beast and I believe he will continue to show out throughout these playoffs.

Coyle continues to be a defensive presence for Palmer Ridge. The 5’10 160-pound running back/ strong safety had 8 tackles, 1 rushing touchdown, a forced fumble, and a pass breakup. Very good speed, acceleration, jumping, and change of direction. As a safety, he’s all over the field, from a deep zone to run support. Very good read and reaction speed. Very good tackling. He had two touchdown saving tackles this game. He lays the boom and stripped the ball to create the fumble. Coyle extended out his arm to make the pass breakup. As a running back, he has very good vision and very good outside running. He turns the corner and goes. Great performance by the senior who is looking to continue balling out against Broomfield.

Coyle is a defensive back who thrives on physicality and quick decision making. With 37 total tackles, one tackle for loss and an interception, he’s shown the ability to come downhill and deliver punishing hits. Coyle’s speed allows him to close gaps fast and provide reliable support in both coverage and run defense. His instincts and tackling ability have made him a tone setter in the secondary. He is great in the open field chopping down ball carriers quickly. As Palmer Ridge heads into the postseason, Coyle’s aggressive play and leadership will be key to shutting down opposing passing attacks.

At 5’11 190, Coyle is a stoutly built safety that does a lot of things for the Palmer Ridge defense (and offense). While mainly playing safety in a 2 high shell, Coyle will also play at the field overhang spot and various other roles — but one thing is consistent and that’s his downhill tackling.  While coming from depth, he does a great job gaining ground, closing space, and taking good angles to consistently wrap up and get ball carriers to the ground.  I love Jake’s ability to quickly change direction and think he’d be impactful at multiple positions at the next level.

Coyle is continuing where he left off in his junior season. The powerful safety is also getting reps at running back as well! In Week 1 against Ponderosa, he had 8 tackles (5 solo, 3 assisted), and 1 rushing touchdown. He has very good athletic ability due to very good speed, acceleration, jumping, and good change of direction. Lines up mainly as a deep safety, but can line up at slot or in the box. He’s one of the first players to get contact with the ball carrier, and he’s a deep safety. He is a strong tackler. Coyle gets low and stops them in their tracks. Coyle consistently watches the QB’s eyes and knows where the ball is at all time. Very good awareness. Very good read and reaction speed as well. Coyle is dominant in his zone coverage as well. I love watching his film, and can’t wait to see more of him this season!

Coyle had himself a nice junior season. The 5’11 180-pounds SS had 49 total tackles (21 solo, 28 assisted), 1 FR, and 2 interceptions. Coyle has very good athletic ability due to very good speed, acceleration, good jumping, and change of direction. He is a disruptive force on the field. He can line up anywhere; zone, box, and the line of scrimmage. Coyle is a very physical safety using his very good strength to lay the boom on ball carriers. He stops them in their tracks. Very good tackler. Very good mental processing due to his very good reactionary speed, and by consistently watching the QB/the ball. Very good zone coverage and man. He stays stride for stride with the receiver, jumping at the last second to create a pass break up. Coyle is a beast, and is a name to know moving forward.

Coyle is a DB who has the potential to make a significant impact this season. Known for his speed and tackling ability, He excels at open field situations, where he can quickly chop down ball carriers and prevent explosive plays. His speed allows him to play overtop in coverage and keep the speedy receivers in front of him. He is an impact player on special teams and he can use his quickness to track down returners and lay a hard hit on returners. As he continues to develop, Coyle will be a player that steps up and will be a player to know moving forward.
