Expert Analysis
Jordan Reyes | Prep Redzone Scout
Ridley is a defensive playmaker that displays a solid combination of size and skill. At 6’3” 220 lbs. he plays with an edge and has good versatility to be effective playing the hybrid OLB/DE spot well. He’s constantly attacking, playing fast and physical through the whistle with a high motor. He’s quick and reactive as he reads run/pass with good change of direction and burst to close to chase the ball. Excels as a pass rusher converts speed to power bending off the edge to generate pressure on the quarterback. Good ability to fight off contact and work through blockers to disengage and locate the ball carrier. Relentless in pursuit. In eight games at Horizon this season he racked up 40 tackles, 11 TFL, and eight sacks. Four offers to date including Utah State, Western New Mexico, Western Colorado, Black Hills State.

has an extremely high motor coming off the edge. Truly disruptive against both the pass and the run, he’s a lean 6’3″ 210lbs and does a nice job of using his hands to keep offensive linemen from getting engaged with him. Seemingly always standing his ground, even linemen bigger than Ridley tend to struggle trying to move him out of his spot with his strong base. Coming off a junior season where he racked up 7 tackles for loss, 4 hurries, 3.5 sacks, and caused a fumble in just five games played, I have no doubts that Ridley’s going to make a massive impact on a Horizon team looking to make a deep run in 2024.
