Austin is a very intriguing dual threat QB who checks a lot of boxes that will translate to the next level. As a passer Austin has access to the entire field with arm strength and accuracy to be able to drop it in a bucket 50 yards downfield, fit it into a window on a quick slant, and everything in between. Even with his runnign ability, Austin is a QB who is going to try and win with his arm first. When he does have to lean on his legs it is still dangerous for the defense. Austin can get the edge and pick up big chunks of yards with his speed. That mobility is also outstanding at keeping the play alive within the pocket and escaping the pocket. Munzel is definitely one of the top names to know in the QB class of 2027.

2024 Stats: 88/135, 1,166 Yards, 14 TDs

Austin was already able to carve out a key role on the Oconomowoc varsity offense as a sophomore. During the 2024 season we saw him split time with a senior, and Platteville commit at the position. So this fall things look set up for him to have sole responsibility of the offense. That is going to give him the opportunity to blow those numbers out of the water in his junior year. As a sophomore, Austin impressed with his aggressive downfield passing and the touch he used to drop the deep ball in a bucket to his receiver. The 2027 showed great decisiveness, mechanics, and accuracy throughout his 2024 film below. Take a look at it, and make sure to have your eyes on this kid in the summer, and especially in the fall.

The Oconomowoc offense is in good hands going forward based off what I saw from the sophomore QB. The pocket passer has an exciting base of talents to build on this offseason as he prepares to enter his junior season in 2025. He is an accurate passer who makes great decisions with the ball. On the season he is a 60%+ completion passer with 13 TDs to 5 INTs. The sophomore was a quick decision maker and has the arm talent to hit windows all over the field.
