Kaleb is probably the best 3-down back listed here, as he is so talented that he can line up at receiver and be a real threat that defenses have to account for. I’m excited to see how he does in his senior year in an offense that can be really explosive with the Panthers. A lot of skill talent returns, and theycould have a lot of space for Kaleb to operate in both the running and passing game. He’s got excellent speed and some real game-breaking ability on both offense and special teams as well.

Rushing for nearly 900 yards and 8 touchdowns is a pretty good season for a high school back. But then, when you add on nearly 400 yards receiving, that gets into some nice production. Kaleb is an all-around back who’s good enough to line up in the slot and run routes as a wide receiver as well, a nice weapon in the Panthers offense. Kaleb has always been a threat with his speed in the open field – he can be a dynamic returner in the special teams world to go along with his offensive skills. Kaleb is the rare triple threat that teams have to account for as a runner, receiver, and returner. That type of value is what college football programs love, and it should enhance his recruiting once it picks up in earnest for him sooner than later.

Like our previous player, Kaleb was used in multiple ways this past season for the Sabres. Carries were not in major abundance as South Meck had a talented senior leading the way, so Kaleb only put up 287 rushing yards on the ground with 4 rushing touchdowns, but as a receiver, Kaleb was a big threat for the Sabres. As a receiver, Kaleb was the 2nd leading receiver on the team with 30 catches for 392 yards and 4 touchdowns as a wideout. That multiple-threat ability is what we liked in moving him up in this rankings update. Kaleb is very quick and fast and can be a threat not only as a runner and receiver, he is electric as a kick returner as well – I have seen this ability up close and live myself. Kaleb will have a huge role with the Sabres next season, and I suspect we will get to know him even better in the near future.

I wrote about Kaleb this spring, and his head coach stated that he’s an even better young man overall. On top of that, seeing him live twice last season, he can absolutely do it all. Kaleb is a dangerous threat as a kick returner, he shows excellent vision and speed in the run game, and he showed good hands as South Meck designed screen plays to get the ball in his hands into open space. This season he will share the backfield with a returning All-Conference player, but that just may open him up even more to make.big plays on Friday Nights.
