The Gateway To The North roster has come out, and I am incredibly impressed with who signed up. From big schools to tiny rural schools, there are kids from all corners of the state that will be heading to Clare on Wednesday to work in front of a good number of college coaches.

Quarterbacks-

The QB group is really interesting to me. I think of the 12 QBs signed up, I am familiar with about 3 of them. Jayden Arthur from Clare put himself on my radar a couple of seasons ago, and has really impressed me. Ithaca gunslinger Jackson Conn should be in attendance as well, who I have extensively talked about as a very impressive QB with superb arm strength. Finally, 2026 QB Colton Pfenninger from Gladwin has done a really nice job of developing, and I am excited to see how his development is going. Other than that, I am excited to get my eyes on some new names from a variety of schools.

Running Backs-

The RB group is another group with only a handful of familiar names, and the rest will be new faces to me! I'm familiar with guys like [player_tooltip player_id='905876' first='Garlands' last='Randolph'] from Dow, [player_tooltip player_id='1225807' first='Jack' last='Bollman'] from Big Rapids and Giovani Germani from Bentley. I'm excited to get my eyes on Ryan Watkins from Freeland as I have heard a good deal about him, and [player_tooltip player_id='1741472' first='Conner' last='Lambert'] from Ogemaw Heights. Over 15 signups at the RB position, I am excited to see what they can do!

Wide Receivers-

This group is super loaded with underrated talent. This is a group of kids I am extremely familiar with. The Gladwin group of Donald (Trace) Corlew III, [player_tooltip player_id='1760815' first='Logan' last='Walters'] and Peyton Newman are kids I am familiar with and expect some big things. Some really underrated talent like Drew Enright from Schoolcraft, [player_tooltip player_id='1217553' first='Garret' last='Foster'] from Big Rapids, [player_tooltip player_id='1298543' first='Ryan' last='Louch'] from Clare and more will have ample opportunity to wow some of the college coaches on sight and I believe they will do just that. I'll definitely be on the lookout for who is the breakout star of the day out of this receiver group.

Offensive Line-

This is a wildcard group for me. I am only familiar of a couple names out of this group, like Lloyd Stoneman from Ithaca who I am excited to see, along with Mitchell Brewer from Bishop Foley. Other than that, this group is a huge mystery to me. I'm excited to see some players from schools I don't normally see such as Farwell, Shepherd, Tri County, Sacred Heart and more! It'll be interesting to see who puts their name on my radar at this camp.

Tight Ends-

Kole Osborn from Kingsley is one of the only ones of this group I have seen in person, so I will definitely be excited to see who else has a standout day. I'm intrigued by the size of Farwell TE Michael Frasure who is signed in at 6'3 220. Farwell isn't someone we get to cover very often, so I will definitely have my eye out for him. This is a small group, so I think they will be able to get a ton of reps in which could make a huge difference for them. TE group has my attention for sure.

Defensive Backs-

This DB group better bring their A game against the receivers I mentioned earlier. I think there are some really underrated prospects in this group, like Zefi Gjelaj out of Armada and the Whims boys from Kingsley. There seems to be a good number of 2026's in this group, so they will definitely gain some important experience against a solid receiver group, which is always valuable. This will definitely show who has kept up on their offseason conditioning and lifting, as this DB group will definitely be put to the test!

Linebackers-

This LB group will have a good number of underclassmen in it as well. There are some 2025s in this group I know and am excited to see how they are developing such as Nathan Mikesell from Ithaca, [player_tooltip player_id='1113054' first='Parker' last='Masch'] from Standish Sterling, and [player_tooltip player_id='899583' first='Korbin' last='Sulitis'] from Petoskey. It doesn't seem like anyone really stands out with their size, so it will be a point for me to really watch their skill and try to determine who could have a positive future ahead of them possibly at the next level.

Defensive Line-

This is an experienced group with all 2025s but 1. The DL group has some really good guys in it that make me really excited. Guys like Evan Cody from Corunna and Kaden Reid are a couple of 2025 DL that have shown me some good flashes, so I'm excited to see what they can put together for a full camp. This group contains guys from big and small schools, and I will be curious to see how some of these guys handle that!
