Palepoi is best as a downfield passer when he can attack the defense vertically. He has good ball placement and good overall arm talent. The Ridgeline defense is fast and likes to get upheld, so if Brighton draws up plays for receivers to get downfield, Palepoi will have a big day.

Palepoi is ready to break out. He’s had a great offseason and is someone who caught my eye at every showcase and every 7’s event. He’ll be tasked to lead Brighton against a stout David defense. They are an aggressive secondary, and Palepoi will be able to showcase his good arm talent as he has good ball placement, will stress a defense with deep balls, and does well extending plays and biding additional time. When he scrambles, the defense breaks down, and Palepoi does a good job of reading the field and finding the open receiver. He should have a good showing against a tough Davis defense.

Palepoi is our Region 6 Offensive Player of the Year prediction. The Bengals were run heavy last year as they struck lighting in a bottle and rode the wave of the ground attack. Gone is that electrciity and the running back room is revamped. That paves the way for Brighton to return to their 2023 season when they leaned more on the passing game. Palepoi has done a tremendous job this offseason and he held his own against some of the state’s best quarterbacks this spring in a few of the showcases, most notably the one held at Summit Academy where top teams were there such as Corner Canyon, Lehi, and Skyridge and the one at West where it featured West, Orem, Mountain Ridge, and Lone Peak. Each of the teams represented have top-tier quarterbacks and Palepoi more than held his own and each time I walked away impressed by him. The Bengals will look to lean on his arm talent and the signal caller in the 2027 class is primed to breakout this year and has every right to amass over 3,000 all purpose yards and make himself known in the state and garner recrutiing offers regionally. Big time year is ahead for the signal caller.

Palepoi showed good mechanics at Utah County Showcase to play the QB position. Has a slow wind up delivery that gives the ball a tight spiral with speed. Has the arm strength to deliver the deep pass and hit the sidelines. Anticipation and accuracy to hit his targets and throw receivers open. Recruiting radars should be on Palepoi this upcoming season to see this duel threat QB at work.

Palepoi threw with Copper Hills for the evening and without much chemistry, had some nice throws, including a nice deep shot where he showcased good arm strength and accuracy. Later on in the night, he had another nice throw in the endzone.
