Throughout the month of February, Prep Redzone Oklahoma is updating our prospect rankings for each class. And for the state's 2025 class, we're updating the rankings and expanding it to 175 prospects. Earlier this week, we released the 2025 Top 175 and throughout the week, we'll be putting the spotlight on different players and position groups. In this post, we're putting that spotlight on the linebacker position. These five are some of the hardest hitting prospects in the class. Earlier this week, we broke down Putnam City LB [player_tooltip player_id='1078310' first='Brayden' last='Knox'] in our Top Newcomer article. Keep it locked in to Prep Redzone Oklahoma for more prospect breakdowns within the 2025 class. And check back each Monday this month for another class update!

After having a breakout moment during his sophomore season in the state championship game, Carter turned into a two-way playmaker for the Falcons in 2023. In addition to being a game-wrecker on the defensive side of the ball, Carter also became a short yard specialist at running back. Carter is incredibly productive and should be a name to watch moving forward. Carter fits the mold as a middle linebacker prospect. As he continues to get faster but maintains that strength and hitting ability, we think that coaches should take note.","_player_evaluations_0_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_1_player":["211549"],"_player_evaluations_1_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_1_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_1_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_1_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_1_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_1_evaluation":"Beggs linebacker [player_tooltip player_id='211549' first='DJ' last='Strother'] is very similar to Carter at Millwood. Whether you're watching Strother in person or on film, you see a very productive linebacker that is your prototypical middle linebacker at the high school level. You can certainly make the argument that there isn't another linebacker in this class that has been more productive in his career than Strother. The Beggs defensive standout has been a playmaker since he was a freshman a few years ago. So there are no questions about his production and his ability at the high school level. And just like Carter, the biggest question with Strother as a prospect might be his size and speed.","_player_evaluations_1_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_2_player":["1187310"],"_player_evaluations_2_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_2_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_2_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_2_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_2_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_2_evaluation":"One of the more intriguing prospects in this class is Del City linebacker [player_tooltip player_id='1187310' first='Courtney' last='Graham'] as we move closer to the spring and summer months. Graham spent last fall at Westmoore and was an impact player for the Jaguars. He's moved to Del City and will be joining the Eagle football team this fall. This is a Del City defense that will be incredibly strong in the front seven and Graham provides more depth and is primed for a big season this fall. He was incredibly productive last fall and he certainly has the physical attributes to jump up the prospect charts this spring and summer. As more coaches see him, expect his recruitment to take off.","_player_evaluations_2_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_3_player":["353419"],"_player_evaluations_3_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_3_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_3_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_3_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_3_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_3_evaluation":"Carl Albert standout [player_tooltip player_id='353419' first='Caden' last='Davis'] has about as much momentum as any defender in the state as he heads into his senior season. As a sophomore, Davis was an All State 1st Team selection at defensive end. As a junior, Davis moved to his more natural next level position at linebacker and once again earned All State 1st Team honors. He's going to go into his senior season with the opportunity to be a rare All State 1st Team selection three times during his career. Davis has without a doubt been the most productive defensive player in the state over the last two seasons and shows no signs of slowing down. That production does translate to the next level.","_player_evaluations_3_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_4_player":["255022"],"_player_evaluations_4_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_4_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_4_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_4_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_4_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_4_evaluation":"Bixby standout [player_tooltip player_id='255022' first='Cooper' last='Parker'] was a two-way playmaker for the Spartans during the 2023 season. Parker was one of the leading tacklers on defense and also made an impact for the state champions at quarterback. As we look ahead to the 2024 season, Parker could have a much greater impact on the defensive side of the ball. On offense, the Spartans look like they are set at quarterback and while Parker can still produce there, his abilities on defense will be a higher premium. The Spartans lose a lot off the front seven and that was the strength of the defense last fall. Parker has the potential to be one of, if not the team's leading tackler this fall.","_player_evaluations_4_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations":5,"_player_evaluations":"field_62aba7547dc44"},"mode":"edit","alignText":"left","anchor":"acf-block-65db76fb6fc13"} /-->
