Throughout the month of February, Prep Redzone Oklahoma is updating our prospect rankings for each class. And for the state’s 2025 class, we’re updating the rankings and expanding it to 175 prospects. Earlier this week, we released the 2025 Top 175 and throughout the week, we’ll be putting the spotlight on different players and position groups. In this post, we’re putting that spotlight on the top five prospects that are newcomers to the latest ranking update. From top out of state move-ins to emerging prospects that have earned D1 offers, these five have already made names for themselves. Keep it locked in to Prep Redzone Oklahoma for more prospect breakdowns within the 2025 class. And check back each Monday this month for another class update!
Our first newcomer on this ranking update is Elgin offensive lineman Antoni Kade Ogumoro Antoni Kade Ogumoro 6’5″ | 315 lbs | OL Elgin | 2025 State OK and he hasn’t even taken his first snaps in Oklahoma. Ogumordo is a military kid and he comes to Oklahoma after dominating in North Carolina. He landed at Elgin and the Owls are going to be a very fun team to watch this season with all of the talent they bring back and Ogumordo isn’t going to be the only talented prospect on that offensive line. We don’t know much about Elgin’s new big man other than what we’ve seen on film or read. He’s already picked up quite a few power five offers and it doesn’t seem like it will slow down.
Highlights
Last summer, the rich got richer as Bixby added a 2025 offensive lineman from Missouri that was one of the best in his class. Broderick Shull Broderick Shull 6’6″ | 265 lbs | OL Bixby | 2025 State OK joined the Spartans after his family moved down to the Tulsa area. And with Shull joining the Spartans, he made a Bixby offensive line that was arguably the best group in the state even more talented. Shull was the new kid on the block in 2023 but with several experienced seniors graduating, Shull will go into 2024 as the dominant veteran along the offensive line. Shull is very impressive physically and has some underrated athleticism in his game. We’re looking forward to seeing more of him this spring.
Putnam City linebacker Brayden Knox Brayden Knox 6’3″ | LB Putnam City | 2025 State OK has been a 2025 prospect that has flown under the radar across the state but that shouldn’t be the case moving forward to the spring and summer months. First off, look at the film and the stats and you see that Knox has been incredibly productive for the Pirates over the last few seasons. Colleges have also taken notice and have extended offers to the Putnam City standout. We got a chance to see Knox up close and personal at our camp in January and he immediately passed the eye test. He was the most physically impressive linebacker in attendance and we can see what college coaches are noticing.
Last week, we wrote about the 2026 class and updated those rankings. Lawton MacArthur has a truly special 2026 class and they have several players highly ranked. They aren’t missing talent in the 2025 class and defensive back AJ Vaughn AJ Vaughn 6’1″ | DB Lawton MacArthur | 2025 State OK is the latest prospect to join the 2025 rankings. There are some really talented defensive backs in this class and Vaughn is a prospect that we need to keep an eye on moving forward. His recruitment has officially taken off and he also has next level talent in his DNA. Vaughn is part of a Highlander secondary that will send multiple players to the next level. Vaughn should have a busy spring and summer.
Back in August, we were told about Bixby wide receiver Blake Hogshooter Blake Hogshooter 6’4″ | 190 lbs | WR Bixby | 2025 State OK as being a player who could be a breakout player for the Spartans on offense. Hogshooter would end up being one of Bixby’s top options in the passing game and a big play threat down the field. With Bixby losing some of their top receivers in terms of production, we see Hogshooter taking a giant leap in terms of production and becoming one of the top wide receivers in Class 6A-1. The Bixby receiver has a good frame and is getting better and better each time we see him in person. He’s going to be an intriguing prospect to follow throughout the spring and summer.
