About Braylon

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I’m adaptable. I like to take what the defense gives me, making my reads and extending the play. I have a pass first mentality but can be a duel threat when needed.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

From a young age, my father instilled in me that hard work can get me where I want to go. My mental mindset is to keep grinding. I have to put in more work than anyone to get where I want to go. Early mornings, late nights, focusing on my nutrition and really zoning in on my goals everyday are a small part of where I’m currently at mentally.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Previously served on Hudsonville Leadership Council and involved with Hudsonville Young Life. I just moved to Northview and plan to get as involved as possible.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have been elected to our leadership council for football by my teammates. I meet with other members and our coach weekly. Serving our program in this way, has helped me develop a relationship with upperclassmen, given me the ability to lean in and encourage and support my teammates and ultimately lead them from the field. I’m a hype man by nature, I want to see my teammates succeed too.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

My family moved to a new school district in the middle of my Sophomore year of HS. I am working hard to build relationships with my new coaches and teammates at Northview HS. The biggest challenge is gaining trust of other and vice versa. I'm excited to continue to learn Northview's offense and play with my new team this Fall.
