About Zahaire
Expert Analysis
Nick DeMaio | Prep Redzone Scout
Zahaire is an elite, twitches up athlete with breakaway speed. He provides value at multiple offensive positions, and can slot in well at WR and RB. Typically, kids this age with similar speed and twitch are a bit shorter, and his height is a (positive) outlier. He’s got strong hands and ability to attack the ball. He’s kind of the prototype for what colleges are looking for these days. Speed, twitch, and separation are at such a premium. There’s much less of an emphasis on size and length (which Zahaire still has a bit of). He’ll be a good player at the next level.

Jones, from APR, had a solid sophomore campaign, but he’s now on track for a breakout junior season. While most of his sophomore tape came from his time at defensive back, he shined at wide receiver during the Elite V Showcase. Jones made several highlight-reel catches that caught everyone’s attention. With reliable hands and the athleticism to win 50/50 balls, he made a big impression. Expect Jones to be a key contributor for Randolph this upcoming season as they will most likely throw the ball more. His coming out party might’ve started early.

He’s just going to be a sophomore but Jones is another high-ceiling player for APR this season. He’s a lanky athlete but plays with more physicality than you think. Jones isn’t afraid to lower the shoulder when he has the ball and can certainly lay some hard hits. In his junior varsity tape, he displayed the speed in his game and it should translate well to the next level as he’s only gotten more athletic this offseason.
