Standing at 6’2″ 285-Pounds, Edwards displays an excellent build for a Defensive Lineman. He played varsity as an 8th grader for Mount St. Michael.
Edwards displays excellent body control and understands the use of leverage at the POA. On the LOS, he displays excellent strength and good block shedding. He is a perfect Defensive Tackle given his frame, and displays the ability to defeat double teams and make excellent tackles.
Edwards is a star on the Randolph Campus defense. His frame and ability on the field make him a PSAL threat this season.

Edwards has significant varsity experience. The Mount St. Michael defensive tackle played both 8th grade and freshman seasons with the varsity squad, and I actually saw him play in the 2022 championship game as an 8th grader. There are various listings about his size, but he shows the frame to add some mass and strength in the weight room over time and can continue to develop his body.
An interior prospect, Edwards shows on tape the ability to anchor and eat double teams while also flashing a solid punch that can knock back offensive linemen. He shows good strength in his lower body and occasionally wins reps with a quick get of the LOS.

moves up a couple spots and for good reason. Edwards was one of the lone bright spots for Mt. Saint Michael’s in last seasons CHSFL AA2 Championship game. Edwards is tough to move and does well at getting off blocks. He has good size and strength but turning some of that motor and strength into well-rounded athleticism could give Edwards another gear to get into when he plays. A really good prospect who improved throughout his Freshman season and with similar development will end up a very good player in this class.

in person in the NYCHSFL AA2 Championship this past fall and I came away super impressed. In-person Edwards upfield burst is very noticeable and his initial engagements with OL are very physical. At 6’2, 257lbs Edwards already has great size for a freshman and as he grows older I would expect him to round out his physical build while adding more strength in his upper half. Edwards has a really strong base and is tough to move on the inside. He does a good job of releasing and shedding off blocks to make contact with ball carriers through the LOS. Edwards also has some positional versatility showing he can be an impact DT playing 3-tech or even further out as a 5-tech but also showed he can be a dominant NT who eats blocks and frees up other defenders.

play at the NYCHSFL AA2 Championship game and although his team was unable to get the victory his performance on defense helped slow down one of the best rushing attacks in the entire state. Edwards has a really good initial burst off the ball and is quick and violent with his hands. Edwards fights through blocks and really has a high motor. At 6-2, 260lbs Edwards is more of an interior lineman and with a little more size could become a really solid prospect. The lower level of competition could hurt Edwards but he has the physical makeup to make some noise as a prospect in the coming years.
