So, these types of events have become more vital to a high school football player’s recruitment. Over the next several months, I will write about the athletes that I evaluate in-person at the camps and 7v7 tournaments that I attend.
I watched and evaluated several 2020 quarterbacks in early February. Here are five Class of 2022 quarterbacks from Pennsylvania whose stock should rise in the next several months.
Brad Hoffman Ι 6-2 215 Ι Berks Catholic HS

Hoffman put together a solid junior year campaign this past season. He completed 29 out of 64 passes for 603 yards, eight touchdowns, and three interceptions.
Jack Capaldi Ι 6-2 190 Ι Malvern Prep HS
Hudl Profile: https://www.hudl.com/profile/10804479/Jack-Capaldi
Capaldi made the most out of the four games he played in during the 2020 season. He completed 36-out-of-63 passes for 633 yards and three touchdowns during those games. Capaldi took home Top Quarterback honors at the All State Preps Quarterback Challenge after winning a tie-breaker between him, Michael Benincasa, and Brett Nye.
Logan Klitsch Logan Klitsch 6'3" | 190 lbs | QB Conrad Weiser | 2022 State PA Ι 6-2 180 Ι Conrad Weiser
Hudl Profile: https://www.hudl.com/profile/10177019/Logan-Klitsch
Klitsch is a dual-threat quarterback in every sense of the word. During the 2020 season, Klitsch completed 83-out-of-140 passes for 1,330 yards, 15 touchdowns, and three interceptions. He carried the football 69 times for 427 yards and ten touchdowns. I felt he fared well at the competition. He missed a few throws, but his overall combination of passing and running skills is enough to get him more looks from colleges in the upcoming months.
Michael Benincasa Ι 6-2 195 Ι Haverford School
Hudl Profile: https://www.hudl.com/profile/11175640/Michael-Benincasa
Because of COVID-19, Benincasa played in a few games this past season. In those games, he completed 12-out-of-20 passes for 160 yards. Despite the lack of game-film available for Benincasa from this past season, he showed me enough during my evaluation to make me believe he’ll get ranked. He finished as one of the Top 3 quarterback performers at the ASP Quarterback Challenge on Feb. 6. Benincasa exhibited a powerful arm, good accuracy, and good footwork. His footwork drill reps were superb. During the Pro Day, the only throws that kept him from getting a perfect score were the Drag/Cross and the 10-yard out routes.
Trey Holsman Ι 6-0 180 Ι Archbishop Wood HS
Hudl Profile: https://www.hudl.com/profile/11167394/Trey-Holsman
Holsman started three out of the five games he played in for Archbishop Wood this season. He passed for 610 yards and two touchdowns and ran for another 75 yards. He threw for over 1,000 yards an 10 touchdowns while playing on the JV level during the 2019 season. Holsman was one of the Top 5 performers at the ASP Quarterback Challenge and showcased a lot of things that I did not see on his highlights. His footwork was among the best, and accuracy was on point.
