I had the chance to see Magee this past weekend against a ridiculously talented offense deployed by Imhotep Charter. I have to continuously remind myself that Magee is an underclassman linebacker considering the discipline he plays with, as well as the leadership he brings to a young but talented front seven. He was all over the field making stops, and I mean that sincerely.
Magee was weaving through traffic to get from his presnap hash alignment all the way to the sideline to clean up outside zone runs. He was also asked to align head up over inside slot receivers and did one hell of a job sitting in the correct zone. On one rep, he dropped some 30 to 40 yards downfield and came away with an interception that turned the tide of the game at that point.
Yet another Division I caliber underclassman mentioned in this piece. I don’t say that often, but it seems like I do, especially in this article. Magee is the type of player I would implore Navy and Army West Point to go after sooner rather than later. Although he is only a 2029 prospect, there is plenty of time for him to further develop into what I think will eventually be an FBS linebacker.
Currently ranked inside the top 125, Magee is forcing my hand with the way he has played against La Salle and Imhotep over the last two weeks. I’ve now had the pleasure of seeing him up close, and I’m leaning toward the notion that he is a top 100 2029 football prospect among his Pennsylvania classmates.

is a physical linebacker who plays with strong instincts and a downhill mentality. On film, he shows a solid understanding of run fits and quickly diagnoses developing plays. Magee’s strength allows him to take on blockers and hold his ground at the point of attack. He consistently flows to the football and finishes tackles with authority. His motor runs hot throughout the game, which leads to consistent production in the box. Magee also demonstrates good pursuit angles when chasing plays toward the sideline. As a 210-pound linebacker, he already has the build to compete against physical offenses. With continued development in lateral quickness and coverage skills, he projects as a reliable defensive anchor for his unit.
