Blake was one of the top late season breakout players. He took over in the WIAA playoffs, and capped it off with an MVP performance in the D1 State Championship. He is a workhorse back that relies on his power and contact balance to pick up yards. He is a physical runner that could pair well with a quick back. Blake earned multiple D2 offers in November/December.

Stats: 28 Carries, 279 Yards, 4 TDsrnThe ultra-productive senior RB was back at it again in Level 4. I watched him in person during their Level 3 matchup and it was more of the same this past Friday. However, this week we got to see some more of Blake’s big play ability. Multiple times he was able to weave his way through his blocks and then show that he has enough speed to win in the open field. Those big plays were sprung y his patience behind the line of scrimmage. I’m excited to see how he caps off his dominant senior season Friday afternoon. Keep an eye on him. He is uncommitted, and under the radar. Check him out.

Stats: 33 Carries 186 Yards, 3 TDs, 1 Reception, 2 YardsrnMy Player of the Game goes to the 6′ 210 lbs running back out of Kimberly. I have long been saying that Blake is one of the steals in this senior class. He proved it on Friday night. The workhorse back powered his way to big plays, and yards after contact. I was most impressed by Blake’s vision throughout the night. Multiple times the hole wasn’t open for him to hit, but he quickly was able to locate another lane, make one jump cut, and then take off. After getting through the gap, Blake was tough to bring down in the open field. He ran through arm tackles, and was hard to knock off balance. The bell cow back has an offer from Dordt. It can’t be long until he starts getting more attention that he deserves.
