Stats: 5 Tackles, 1 FR, 1 Blocked KickrnThe 6’1″ 185 lbs senior safety was the top DB of the state games. Because of the high usage of run game that Mukwonago uses we got a great look at Jack’s willingness to play downhill against the run. Statz trusted his eyes and was a very reliable tackler when he met ball carriers. That tackling gave Kimberly’s defense a trustworthy last line of defense that was needed on multiple plays. No question that Jack has the toughness to play at the next level. He doesn’t shy away from contact, and he engages with intent. We also got to see some burst and closing speed when he came off the edge to block an extra point kick. He is still uncommitted, so make sure to not overlook the kid.

Stats: 3 TacklesrnThe stat line doesn’t do nearly enough justice towards Jack’s impact. The 6’1″ 185 lbs safety proved his three down versatility throughout the night. It was impressive to watch the senior aggressively attack down hill against the run game, and then on seemingly the next play run with receivers in man to man coverage and break up passes. Jack looked natural in both scenarios. Jack has the speed to be able to stick with receivers and TEs in man coverage, and his aggressive hands make it hard to complete the catch at the catch point. Statz’s closing speed jumped out on multiple plays as well. That led to broken up passes and tackles before ball carriers could make a move on him. Statz is another senior on this team that is a hidden gem.

Stats: 5 Tackles, 1 TFL, 1 Pick Six, 1 PBU, 1 Blocked KickrnRange and acceleration. That is what shines early in the highlights from Week 5 from the 6’1″ 185 lbs safety. His TFL came on a play when he was about 7 yards off the ball. He made the tackle about 3 yards behind the line. Statz’s INT came on a play where he was able to bait the QB into a bad decision. Speed, and overall athleticism are the name of the game for Jack. He is a state qualifier in track, and an All Conference safety. I’ll be looking to see his recruitment pick up as the season progresses.
