Section V Week 2: High Scoring Performers

See the results of what unfolded this weekend.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><span style="text-decoration: underline">09/10: Pittsford Panthers vs. Rush Henrietta Royal Comets:</span></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>It was first a back-and-forth grinder where both Rush-Henrettia and Pittsford had each other's number. They did so to their star WR in [player_tooltip player_id='1144300' first='Noah' last='Collins-Howard']. In the first quarter at the 5:04 mark, Collins-Howard came away with a huge leaping catch over the DB on a 3rd down. Straightaway, the hand-eye coordination is a major standout. In like fashion, on key third downs he was able to connect with some of his receivers. At the 5:02 mark in the second quarter, Mangone punched in a rushing TD after dodging multiple defenders. He is a young TE that was able to produce even after the catch was made, which we saw in the first quarter. Dreywood is going to continue to produce in the receiving game but be critical in the run blocking game. Undoubtedly, Ciavarri made big-time TFLs throughout the game and diagnosed plays that unfolded. In like fashion, Cunningham was accurate with his passes and strong with his arm strength. He connected with [player_tooltip player_id='1248847' first='James' last='Brumfield II'] for an early TD to go up 8-0. Additionally, with 11:52 in the second quarter, he made an incredible deep throw for a 51-yard TD to go up 24-13. Grant had big-time special team returns that displayed his speed and pure athleticism in the open field. On the first return it was for 91 yards; he made three defenders miss and burst to the opposite side of the field for six points. The second return was later in the game for 95 yards.
