Barner has outstanding instincts, and displays an elite IQ. His anticipation is outstanding, and he can read a QB, and showcases an elite ability to jump routes. He is an elite athlete, who displays outstanding versatility, and good speed.

The 5’10” 190-Pound DB, had a solid season with Monroe, picking up numerous offers and a state championship. He has a solid frame, and mainly plays at the Safety position.

Barner has elite instincts at the DB Position. The Monroe prospect is a lockdown playmaker, and has proven so on the 7v7 Circuit and throughout the regular season. he has outstanding footwork, and displays an elite ability to track the ball. Barner is an outstanding DB.

Barner just flies around the ball. The trait that sticks out with him is instincts. He’s always in the right spot, always gives himself a chance to make a play on the ball. He’s got great ability to sniff out the ball carrier in traffic and he’s a sound tackler as well. He’s comfortable both at the line of scrimmage and on the boundary. He can really move in space-more straight line speed than twitched up. He brings a certain kind of energy to field that’s great for the defense.

Yet another James Monroe prospect, this one holding offers out of Syracuse, West Virginia, Sacramento State, and Akron. 5’10, 185 pounds, currently up ten pounds since the last 2027 NY update. Barner is hot on the recruiting trail, stating he’ll be visiting the likes of Michigan and Penn State in the coming weeks. Barner will also make a weekend stop to Upper Marlboro with the intention of locking up WRs from across the Northeast. Barner is my pick to be the best DB present, that’s high praise considering some of the other names that will be in attendance. A bonafide Power Four prospect, wideouts better come prepared.
