Brumfield is one of the top young athletes in the state. Sleepy Hollow uses a rush attack as their main form of offense, but when they do throw the ball, they are successful. Playing at the second level Brumfield will need to make tackles to stop explosive plays all day if Monroe looks to win the Championship.

. Ranked as a DB, wouldn’t surprise me to see him potentially catch balls in settings like this one. Received an offer out of Syracuse mid-Summer 2024.
Picked up an offer from Penn State (Alan Zemaitis) just a couple of weeks back, this young man is likely to place among the best in his class once NY rankings debut. Apparently, Brumfield II impresses even without the offers or early recruiting fanfare. My colleague and NY lead Caleb Holfoth noted Brumfield as a name to know among freshman New Yorkers before the Big10 program offered him. I’m equally excited to see Brumfield as I am Hampton.

I have said it on Twitter, and he is even featured in some content for the 2028 class. There is not enough 2028 prospects that have reached the point in their development or playing time where they can be ranked but Brumfield II has set the standard for the class as easily the top prospect so far. He earned an offer from Syracuse at camp, and I was him live at CTC 7v7. he is one of those defensive back prospects who just sees the game so well he is consistently 1-2 steps ahead of everyone. He has great ball skills and will be very tough for offenses to throw toward, even though he is just a freshman. 5’10 160 isn’t a bad size for a freshman, but continuing to grow and add strength to his frame will be huge for his long-term development. In the short term, expect Brumfield to be one of the few freshmen in Rochester to compete for considerable post-season honors.

It was only a matter of time before Brumfield picked up his first offer and it came from Syracuse after a 7v7 camp. Brumfield was a player who stood out at the CTC 7v7 and already looks the part before even hitting high school.
