West Mecklenburg at Berry – Offensive Standouts

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>In a battle between two Westside Charlotte high schools, the Berry Cardinals picked up their first victory of the season over the West Meck Hawks, 19-13. This was a big win for the Berry program after going 0-10 last season, and it shows progress is being made by the players and coaching staff, led by Head Coach Darius Robinson. I liked the way he ran with pace and vision on a number of inside runs, and he did a good job of keeping the chains moving overall for Berry throughout the night. Drake also showed some escapability when under pressure, gaining a couple of first downs with his legs. The first touchdown came right after halftime, as the Hawks came out of the locker room with some juice. On the run, Jayden broke multiple tackles and used his speed to outrun the rest of the Berry defense.
