Once Mather turned the corner, he used his home run speed to out run the entire opposing defense. Does a great job consistently gaining yards after contact. Shrugs off defenders at the line of scrimmage or in the box. Churns forward with powerful legs, and falls forward for extra yards. Very good pocket presence. Would evade pressure with his shifty feet, and if no open was open, he'd rush for the first down. Good progression speed to find the open man. Good throw on the run and off-platform throws. Very good ball placement skills. Would throw it right on the money to his receiver not allowing them to lose any speed in the process.
