Kool has good athletic ability due to very good change of direction, acceleration, good speed, balance, and jumping. As a running back, he uses his quick feet to pivot from closed gaps into open holes. Good vision with powerful legs to churn forward. As a linebacker, he shows off his physicality. Good read and reaction speed paired with very good tackling to take down the competition. He’s an exciting player with a high ceiling.

Kool made an immediate impact in the 1A division, establishing himself as a reliable presence in the middle of Platte Canyon’s defense. He recorded 77 total tackles, added a tackle for loss and recovered two fumbles during his freshman season. Kool does a good job controlling his gaps between the tackles and shows quick hands when shedding blocks. His ability to drop into coverage and finish tackles in space adds another layer to his game. With a well rounded skill set and consistent production already in place, Kool is a young linebacker worth monitoring as his role continues to expand.
