Mather showed good vision when finding running lanes and displayed the burst needed to reach the second level before defenders could close. His ability to make the first defender miss added another element to his rushing attack and allowed him to turn positive runs into bigger gains. The production provides an impressive foundation heading into the rest of the season. If Mather can maintain this level of consistency, he has the opportunity to become a rising name in the 2028 rankings this offseason.

Uses his quick feet to pick, slide, and accelerate into the open hole. Very good inside running. Very good outside running. Once Mather turned the corner, he used his home run speed to out run the entire opposing defense. Does a great job consistently gaining yards after contact. Shrugs off defenders at the line of scrimmage or in the box. Churns forward with powerful legs, and falls forward for extra yards. Exciting playmaking running back to watch out for this season.

He has good athletic ability due to his very good acceleration, balance, speed, and good change of direction. He uses his explosive speed paired with good vision to attack the defense. Mather has shown a knack to get yards after contact. Using his contact balance to churn forward or spin out of a tackle. He has good caching and will extend his arms to pluck the ball out of the air. With an extended role, he will shine!
