Top 2028 Offensive Stock-Risers

In case you missed it, we released our final preseason rankings update for the <a href="https://prepredzone.com/2026/08/updated-2028-north-carolina-rankings/">2028 class</a>. I've already gone <a href="https://prepredzone.com/2026/08/behind-the-scenes-of-the-2028-rankings-preseason-update/">behind the scenes</a> of the update, and my colleague, Josh Graham, looked at the <a href="https://prepredzone.com/2026/08/new-additions-2028-defensive-players/">new defensive players</a> and the <a href="https://prepredzone.com/2026/08/stock-risers-2028-defensive-players/">defensive stock-risers</a> for the class. Here, I'm looking at the offensive stock-risers for the 2028 rankings update.   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Biggest Offensive Stock-Risers: 2028</h2>   Editor's Note: Since we had nearly 50 stock-risers, I'm breaking down the seven biggest movers, then listing a few others who have my attention heading into the season.    Abrams missed some of last season, which hindered his development, but he looks fantastic. I saw and spoke with him at a recent media day and came away impressed not just with his physical traits, but with his growing understanding of the mental side of the game. He's a massive guard whose recent improvement in footwork could allow him to kick out to tackle. College coaches will fall in love with his size and strength. If his upward trajecotry includes on-field dominance, he'll continue to rise.     Guions was a late mover in the sense that I pushed him up the rankings about 20 minutes before publishing. On final look, he stood out as a terrific, high-upside offensive lineman prospect. Our contacts in that part of the state are raving about his potential, and when you see him move at his size, it's obvious why people are exited.     While we've had Gibbs on our radar as a potential top recruit for a while, we tend to lean further into on-field performance than other sites might. Accordingly, we've taken a wait-and-see approach to Gibbs' development. He flashed as a deep threat last season, averaging over 26 yards per catch on just six catches. This offseason, he's impressed several of my coaching and media contacts with his camp performances. The South Carolina commit should have a big year as a junior, and if he does, he'll continue to move up in the rankings.     Ingalls moves over to Rose from Greene Central where he thrived last season. If there were any worries about his skill translating to a bigger classification, he's already put most of those to bed with several strong outings in the preseason. Despite being a bit undersized (with a frame to add weight) he's one of the strongest offensive linemen in the state. He uses that strength to control interior defenders, often with ease.     Cooper was on pace for a huge year last season before missing the last three months with an injury. I've heard coaches at both Grimsley and opposing schools sing his praises this offseason. From everything we've heard, he's going to have a massive year for the Whirlies, and he landed on our <a href="https://prepredzone.com/2026/08/preseason-all-breakout-offense/">All-Breakout Team</a>.     Clark had a fantastic sophomore season, making the All-Conference team and winning multiple postseason awards. When I went back and reviewed the tape, I realized we'd had him ranked a bit lower than he ought to be. This rankings update rectified that, as he moved up 57 spots in the rankings.     Herring has big shoes to fill at Randleman, but he was fantastic in a small sample size last year, and we've heard he's looked sharp in the offseason. He has the size and arm talent, and showed himself to be plenty accurate last season. To that end, he completed 17 of 18 passes as a sophomore.
