Summer Scouting Spotlight: Top Playmakers With Big-Time Potential

All throughout the summer, we'll be taking a look at some top returning starters and young prospects who will make a big impact as the season rolls around this fall, spotlighting several prospects. Classic X/Z receiver with good height and size. Can go up and high-point the ball, displays good adjustment high/low. Still very raw but staff excited about his potential. Does not have any varsity tape yet, but has a good frame at 6-foot-2, 175 pounds and a frame to get bigger and stronger with time. Displays good burst off the LOS. High School defensive back Cris Freitas - a 6-foot-2, 178-pound cornerback who breaks on the ball well and flashes excellent size and strength. Freitas is a multi-sport athlete with excellent size and arm length, and flashes great timing with his hands to break up passes. Can make one-handed INTs look easy. Great adjustment to the ball, quick instincts, reads and reacts to the play and can snag interceptions out of the air. Also a dynamic kick returner with enough burner speed to take it to the house. Undersized which is his primary flaw but could be a legitimate small school prospect.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
