Growth spurts, leaps in development, dominant camp appearances, and the breakout of several athletes. Those breakout athletes put themselves on our radar and then continued on from there leaving no doubt that they deserved to be considered among the best in this Class. Because of that, they earned spots at the top of our New Additions list. This update features almost 100 new additions to get to know. We are going to start that process with a look at the 10 athletes who debuted the highest in our update. Coaches, these are going to be names to know for the next two years. Let's dive in!

When we first came across Maxwell back in the spring we were instantly impressed. Our Midwest Director of Scouting was really impressed by him during a live summer camp viewing. The tape further verified the in-person impressions. Oberling is a massive OT with long levers. He is 6'6" 280 lbs with powerful, heavy hands that strike and get DL off balance. From there it looks too easy for the big man to punch those feet into the ground and drive his opponent out of the trenches in the run game. The big man also played some DL and flashed that raw upper body power further as he violently holds his ground and then swallows up ball carriers attacking inside. The incoming junior holds an offer from North Dakota and has the talent to be a future FBS recruit.

Another new addition within our Top 10 is New Richmond OT [player_tooltip player_id='2152834' first='Drew' last='Gretzlock']. The rapidly rising 2028 OT put himself on our radars with an MVP performance at the PRZ MN Showcase. From there he went on to a summer where he consistently showed off his high ceiling talents. Drew is an impressive prospect on the hoof. He so easily carries his 270 lbs on that 6'4" frame, leaving no doubt that there is room for more. On tape, and summer camp clips, it jumps off the tape how much of a technician he is. Wide base, quick feet, hands inside, and rarely getting caught reaching. The big man is an athlete who trusts his feet to get him where he needs to be and uses his length to ensure he can gain early control of his opponent. This is a kid I'm very excited to see the early season tape from in a couple weeks.

We have been preaching how dominant the OL and DL groups were in this rankings update. Our 3rd best new addition is also our 3rd OL in this article. Pewaukee's [player_tooltip player_id='2267818' first='Luke' last='Spitzner'] is showing the signs of being a very impressive recruit, and it has Pewaukee looking like one of the best OL units in the entire state. Luke has the prototypical frame of a future D1 recruit standing at 6'5" 265 lbs. Looking at the tape, it is very noteworthy how consistently Luke is able to move front seven defenders as a sophomore while playing in the top conference in the state. He is a fluid athlete that can easily reach level two in time to spring his RB loose. The 2028 OL is able to turn that range into power at the point of contact. Luke is rounding into form and we are expecting a big leap from his this season.

This is another athlete who reaped the rewards of getting out to camps and PRZ having scouts in attendance at those camps. Reid is another standout who hit my radar after he impressed our Midwest Director of Scouting, Oliver West. He told me about a 6'5" edge who was moving very fluidly around the field. So that sent me to the tape instantly to see what we had on our hands. What it resulted in was a new #2 edge recruit in the Class. Reid is a kid with a great frame, natural athleticism, a quick first step, and the necessary power to set the edge vs the run game. The Osceola standout is going to be one of the best players in his region this season.

Next up we go back to the OL for Big Foot OT [player_tooltip player_id='2236859' first='River' last='Jedlicka']. River is a mammoth of a man, checking in at 6'5" 310 lbs. The power this kid brings to the field jumps off the tape instantly. Play one he drives his man 20 yards downfield before planting him in the dirt. River's first punch could have a highlight reel of its own with how powerful it is. That size and raw power are enough to have coaches excited for his future, but the big man can also get out and run in space too. The Big Foot product is checking a lot of boxes early. This rank may be just the start compared to where he ends up in a couple years. Get this kid on your radars today.

Don't overlook the 8 man standout out of Thorp High School. The 2028 TE was already locked onto our radar since early in the offseason, but our excitement for him was further emphasized when our scout Oliver West labeled him one of the more impressive athletes he watched during his camp visits. That matches what I saw on tape. Cooper is a long prospect that is already filling out really well. The size has made him difficult to tackle, but hasn't restricted his fluidity in route running or his top end speed in the open field. The big target has the hands to create a huge catch radius too. This kid is a must watch.

2028 is going to be a great year for any team in the market for TE help. There is so much impressive size, talent, and depth at the position in the Class. Our next Top New Addition is Neenah TE [player_tooltip player_id='2267822' first='Elliott' last='Devlin']. Devlin looks the part of a high level TE with his 6'5" 220 lbs frame. Elliott is utilized a ton lined up out wide. The big man's tape has examples of him getting open with his size, such as jump ball scenarios or the quick passing game, and him being able to get open with more savvy route running, using double moves and head fakes. Elliott has strong hands and does well with his timing to attack the ball at the high point. We even see him on tape playing some Wildcat QB. The athleticism and size are going to create a lot of interest for him.

For our next best new addition we stay in Neenah, WI but flip to the other side of the ball. [player_tooltip player_id='2237933' first='Owen' last='Fox'] debuts as our DB2 for the Class. He has a long frame that you love to have in the secondary, standing 6'3". Owen was great in zone coverage as a sophomore. He kept things in front of him, was very quick to attack when he saw the ball, and closes in a flash. You can trust his 1 on 1 tackling in space and count on him to attack fearlessly. There are plenty of great examples of his range too. Make sure this kid is on your radars.

Next up we head up north to Ashland for their DL/edge [player_tooltip player_id='2267823' first='Rowan' last='Hansen']. The northern WI standout has a great build at 6'5" 230 lbs. On tape you see a kid who consistently uses that length to create and maintain separation. He also uses it to maximize his leverage to move OL and open up alleys for him to slip through into the backfield. The big man has solid range, chasing down plays from behind several times as a sophomore. The tape also shows that he was already rather nimble and agile on his feet while navigating through traffic while getting to the football. Rowan also does well playing with active hands that quickly defeated OTs last season. Check out the tape!

Coming in at #10 for our Best New Additions is QB3 [player_tooltip player_id='1709850' first='Colton' last='Nesbitt']. Colton hit our radar during the Minnesconsin Mega Camp. His 6'7" frame stood out from the crowd of 2028s that he was throwing with. It only took a few attempts to become a big fan of his arm talent. The ball jumps out of his hand. It looks effortless for Colton to fire the ball to the deepest portions of the field and do it with accuracy and a tight spiral. The big man is also a talented basketball player. I'm looking forward to seeing if he will be QB1 for River Falls this season. Definitely a name to keep a close eye on.
