Pre-Season Watch List Ready to Turn Heads

Pond is an exciting two-way player for Fountain-Fort Carson playing tight end and linebacker. He measures in at 6'1 215-pounds. Last season, he had 12 receptions for 183 yards with 3 touchdowns, 40 total tackle (23 solo, 17 assisted), 2 TFL, 1 sack, with 2 PD. Pond displays good athletic ability due to very good lateral quickness, change of direction, good jumping, acceleration, and speed. As a linebacker, he uses his good read and reaction speed to consistently put himself in position to succeed. Good sideline to sideline range. Pond excels as a downhill threat stuffing gaps and attacking the run. Good get off and block shedding ability. Strong tackler and good strength to get off blocks. Looking forward to see how Pond does in his senior season.     Craig is looking to dominate his senior year after missing last due to transfer rules. Craig has good athletic ability due to very good balance, good speed, acceleration, and change of direction. The 6'3 180-pound QB has a cannon of an arm. Craig has a good release with very good throw power. Displays good pocket presence but can also move out and extend plays if necessary. Evades pressure with quick feet. Displays accurate traits at all three levels with very good ball placement skills. I'm looking forward to seeing how Craig does this upcoming season. I believe he will surprise some people!     Hill measures in at 5'8 170-pounds and is a bruising running back for Moffat County. Last season, he had 94 carries for 469 yards with 4 touchdowns, with 10 receptions for 99 yards. He displays good athletic ability due to very good acceleration, speed, good balance, and change of direction. Hill has very good vision. Picks, slides, and accelerates into the open hole. Will use his change of direction and jump cuts to pivot from a closed gap into an open one. Very good inside running and outside running. Hill does a great job getting yards after contact due a mixture of balance, speed, and strength. Puts his shoulder down and trucks through the defender. He is also a trusty target out of the backfield. Watch for Hill to have a breakout season as a senior.     Congleton measures in at 5'10 160-pounds. Last season, he had 64 total tackles (21 solo, 43 assisted), 2 TFL, 1 INT, and 1 PD. Congleton has good athletic ability due to his very good lateral quickness, good speed, balance, and acceleration. Displays good reaction time and puts himself in position to succeed. Good range paired with great control on his lateral quickness. Does a great job blitzing and attacking from the 2nd level of the defense. Very good blitz take off speed, block shedding, and good get off speed. Stuffs gaps and brings interior pressure. Congelton is also productive in zone coverage and shows good competitive toughness to help teammates finish tackles. Interested to see how he does this upcoming season.     Hilliard is exciting two-way WR/DB with a bright future for Chaparral. Measures in at 6'1 155-pounds. Hilliard has very good athletic due to very good balance, speed, good acceleration, and change of direction. He has a smooth back pedal and very good hip fluidity to match receivers breaking out of their stem. Good read and reaction time. Hilliard has very good man coverage skills and uses his speed to stay stride for stride with the wideout. Very good closing quickness. Uses his timing and instincts to create interceptions and pass deflections. Good tackling ability as well. Hilliard has the size and speed needed to excel and he's a name to watch as we progress into the season. He has a lot of potential.
