For a young player, Garrity shows leadership that makes teammates willing to rally around him and get on the same page. His command of the huddle is at the level of a high school senior, as shown when he was an eighth grader at Archbishop Williams. His high-level decision-making process is elite as he goes through his progressions thoroughly. After throwing committing turnovers, he has shown a short memory by responding with multiple positive plays. Garrity has shown an even-keeled poise in the pocket as he keeps his eyes downfield. However, he needs to keep his composure, especially when faced with exotic blitz looks, and be more consistent with his accuracy under pressure. Garrity's zip on the ball is top-notch, as he gets the ball out quickly. His deep-ball accuracy is solid; however, he needs to clean up his footwork from under center. At the mesh point, he needs to be more crisp with his hand-off exchange with the running back, as well as selling the play action. His physicality as a blocker is second to none, though he needs to clean up his footwork by widening his base while keeping his hands inside. On defense, he is a versatile chess piece who can play both 43 and 34 linebacker. Although his primary position is the on-ball backer spot, he has the elite football IQ to diagnose plays pre-snap. Nelson sets the edge with long extension in the run game while using his hands violently to disengage blocks. As a pass rusher, his bread and butter is speed-to-power, though he needs a pass rush plan with a variety of inside and outside counter moves. Skeffington struggles to form a speed-to-power move and needs to have a refined pass rush plan.
