Big Time Playmakers from Okemos Pre Season Scrimmage

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>This weeks scrimmage brought me out to Okemos High School where Godwin Heights, Okemos, East Lansing and Sterling Heights battled it out! He was fundamentally solid on both sides of the ball. Defensively, he seemed to shadow the other teams best receiver with very tight coverage. He had a multitude of PBUs on the evening, but I was really impressed seeing him get one on back to back plays, stopping TDs with their backs against their own endzone. Offensively he couldn't be stopped. He showcased the ability to run an array of routes creating separation when needed. The will backer seemed to be making plays all over the field in every scrimmage. Arcieniga impressed me with his IQ and ability to time up his blitzes to shoot gaps, where he came away with numerous tackles for loss. If that wasn't enough, he also played his fair share of pass coverages where he did a good job dropping to his spots with his head on a swivel. It was almost impossible for his opponents to stop him from getting to his spots where he can do damage. He stood out to me with his ability to run routes over the middle of the field, near the line of scrimmage and downfield. He had very active hands making it hard for tackles to corral him coming off the edge. What I really liked is the patience he plays with, keeping gap integrity, not falling for fakes or chasing out of his spots. He did a great job of playing run first and playing down hill from the middle backer position. A single play of his that really stood out to me was him meeting the RB in the B gap and winning that 1 on 1 rep.
