Possesses a strong compact frame at 5'8” 180 lbs. with good build through his lower half. He's a decisive runner that presses the LOS early and flashes his quick twitch and change of direction both in tight spaces and the open field. He maintains good leg drive to pick up yards after contact and can break through with good balance/pad level. Demonstrates the top end speed to separate from defenders in space and sustains his second gear throughout the play. As a pocket passer he shows consistent and repeatable footwork and mechanics from his drop back to delivery. The ball comes out with velocity while also being able to put proper trajectory on it with an accelerated release. He stands tall in the pocket and maintains composure under pressure showing he can get the ball out quick and accurately with defenders in his face. Like his ability to work through his progression and hit his second or third read. He's a plus athlete with functional scrambling and ball carrier ability to be a multi-dimensional threat. As a junior, he was highly efficient and productive throwing for 2,600 yards and 21 touchdowns while completing 62% of his passes. He shows great command and poise for the position operating smoothly as both a passer and runner. Displays a great ability to manipulate the defense with his eyes and movement. He easily escapes pressure and extends the play to create second chance throwing lanes. Demonstrates high level accuracy and timing with the ability to throw from off balance platforms and change arm angles to make the necessary throw. His live arm flashes when on timing routes across the middle and to the perimeter generating velocity with good rotation in the hips and shoulders.
