Recent Offers: Fresno State, Colorado State, Cincinnati
Notes: Devany is perhaps the top signal caller in northern California in the 2028 class and is a poised and athletic passer with a very strong arm, tight mechanics and is a terrific athlete in the pocket and when throwing on the run. He is another prospect that should draw more P4 attention through his Junior season and should have a monster Fall for Buchanan.

One of the biggest Spring risers we have seen, the Buchanan product impressed at multiple stops this off-season and won MVP Honors at the National Preps Norcal event. He has elite arm talent, a strong arm and tight mechanics with a big frame and dual-threat abilities while able to throw on the run and scramble outside the pocket. He checks all the boxes needed as a sophomore and should see other P4’s come in soon.

The Buchanan signal caller had a stellar day with the quarterback group and showed his athleticism and ability to throw on the run with a live arm downfield and tight throwing mechanics. He was smooth through drills, showed accuracy both in the pocket and from various throwing platforms and was the most accurate thrower on the day during competition and when fitting the ball into tight coverage. He should be really seeing his recruitment pickup after his performance over the weekend and is the next up and coming star signal caller from the valley heading into only his Junior season.

Devany is one of the top ’28 signal callers we have seen across the state and does a great job improvising in the pocket, buying time with his legs and excels at throwing across his body on schedule and into tight windows. He is a quick processor, moves through progressions fast and can throw a nice deep ball with velocity and spin over the top. When on the run he flashes the ability to turn his shoulders and deliver strikes downfield from various arm angles and has impressive mechanics for only a sophomore. Look for Devany to be closing in on his first offer soon and should really explode onto the scene during his Junior season for Buchanan.
