About Collin

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Balanced, agile and powerful. I can run around you, over you and through you.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I’m talented and I work harder than anyone on the football field. I attribute my work ethic and resilience to wrestling.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Student of the Month, Honor Roll, Difference Maker Award (I help with the special needs kids at school).

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I grew up playing soccer and on the swim team since 5 years old. Our coaches always had us doing community relations projects like visiting the elderly, washing cars, picking up trash and feeding the homeless. In the 6th grade I was voted captain of the football and wrestling teams. Through my previous experience working with the elderly and less fortunate I realized I am a servant leader.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

During 7th grade football there were many things out of my control. I had been a starter at running back since 5th grade. My 7th grade coach didn’t know me and he allowed my youth football backup to start over me. I was really sad but made the most of it by becoming Mr. Efficient. I would average 7 carries and 2-3 TDs every game. I believe the frustration made me a better player. I became OPOY.

What type of college are you looking for?

Power 4 - I am an athlete. I will most likely play football and run track in college. I could probably wrestle in college but it would be difficult.

The strength in his legs is undeniable, as he powers through piles and sheds arm tackles. His ground contact keeps him balanced and agile as he works his way upfield. He’s a smart football player who is aware of his surroundings and trusts his natural instincts. Knowing when to make a move or simply lower his shoulder comes with experience, and Collin has a solid foundation to build on as he heads to the next level of competition.
