2027 Rankings Drop: 5 QB Newcomers

This 2027 group of QBs has a ton of potential. It's super deep, with skills of every kind throughout it. We have speed, throw power, accuracy, football IQ and more. Below are 5 new quarterbacks making their debut in the rankings, and not a moment too soon!    Colin makes his debut in our rankings following his transfer to East Kentwood! While I haven't gotten the chance to see him in person yet, his film shows glimpses of the talent he is bringing in to EK. His arm talent pops out right off the bat. He possesses a cannon of an arm and has the ability to attack defenses vertically. That skill alone should bode well for him as the EK offense lends itself to that play style. Mechanically, he appears more polished and efficient than others in the class. His consistency in the little things allows him to be extremely accurate. There is certainly more evaluating to be done from my side, but the physical tools and flashes on film are encouraging, and could allow him to outplay this ranking from the jump.     Tyler is another quarterback I still want to get more eyes on in person, but the talent is evident on film. He plays with the poise and confidence you want to see from your QB, displaying a patient approach and trusting what he reads from the defense. He works efficiently and delivers strikes with great accuracy. He throws with a clean, repeatable motion that allows him to generate power while keeping that ball placement. Now taking his talents to Romeo, Tyler has the opportunity to make an immediate impact on his new squad.     Palmer is an outstanding fit for Howell's offense, and has all of the traits to have another big year in 2026. He plays with tremendous football IQ, consistently making sound decisions and keeping to offense on schedule. Whether it's taking the easy completion or making the big throw when the moment calls for it, he demonstrates clear understanding of situational football. His mechanics have continued to improve, and pairing that with his athleticism and ability to hurt defenses with his defense if he needs to, he could be in for a huge senior season.     Wayne State's newest commit makes a well-earned jump into the rankings after a tremendous 2025 season. Easton posted an impressive 2,900 yard season with an impressive 33 touchdowns. His production alone is impressive, but his traits are what made him a priority target for Wayne State and others. He possesses a huge arm and has no issue attacking any level of the defense. Both velocity and touch, Easton can do it with ease. He orchestrated the Vicksburg offense with confidence and always trusted what he saw, and used the physical tools to take advantage of it. Huge get for the Warriors!     Despite missing a handful of games due to injury last season, Gibson showed more than enough to warrant a spot in our rankings. He proved that he could be one of the most intriguing dual-threat quarterbacks in this class. As a passer, he shows a live arm capable of driving the football to every level of the field with ease. He throws with good timing, delivers a catchable football, and understands where he needs to put the football for his receiver. His athleticism adds another dimension to the Ithaca offense, getting north and south with great speed and isn't afraid to fight for the extra yards. As he continues to gain experience and build on the flashes he showed last season, I believe his game has the potential to translate very well to the next level.
