Palmer was very impressive for Howell as he does as good of job as any high school quarterback I have seen at running the Wing -T offense. Palmer was a magician with the ball as he had Brighton guessing on multiple plays on who had the ball. Palmer was not asked to throw the ball a lot due to Howell’s success on the ground so his numbers are not a true reflection on how good Palmer played. Palmer has good size at 6’2 and 200 plus pounds. On a few plays palmer pulled the ball and picked up tough yards and was not afraid to drop a shoulder and pick up crucial yards. Palmer is a player that runs a very run friendly offense but make no mistake he can sling it when asked and that part of his game should not be overlooked.

Palmer is an outstanding fit for Howell’s offense, and has all of the traits to have another big year in 2026. He plays with tremendous football IQ, consistently making sound decisions and keeping to offense on schedule. Whether it’s taking the easy completion or making the big throw when the moment calls for it, he demonstrates clear understanding of situational football. His mechanics have continued to improve, and pairing that with his athleticism and ability to hurt defenses with his defense if he needs to, he could be in for a huge senior season.
