2026 PRZ KY Preseason All-State Teams: 6A Offense

<p>The time we have been waiting for all offseason is finally here as we are just a couple days away from the start of the 2026 high school football season in the state of Kentucky. With that being said, I will be taking the next week or so to release my Preseason All-State Teams. To kick things off, here is my 2026 Preseason 6A All-State Offense.</p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Quarterback:</h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">[player_tooltip player_id='374785' first='Zane' last='Johnson'] as an obvious selection for me as he is the most decorated quarterback in the entire state, leading Trinity to three-straight 6A state titles as their starting quarterback. As a junior, Johnson completed 176/258 passes for 2,925 yards, 52 touchdowns, and only three interceptions in 15 games. Johnson does a great job of going through his progressions and finding the open receiver, rarely forcing passes into coverage. He also has the accuracy to fit passes into tight windows where only his intended receiver can catch it. Zane also scored one rushing touchdown as a junior. Johnson is committed to Buffalo where I can see him being a successful quarterback at the next level. </p>    <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Running Back:</h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">[player_tooltip player_id='1284247' first='Dakari' last='Talbert'] is coming off a strong junior year in which he led the Broncos in rushing with 205 carries for 1,423 yards and 19 touchdowns in 13 games. Talbert uses his burst of speed to hit the running lane with a sense of urgency then break away from the defense for big gains. When defenders are able to catch up to him, he has shown the ability to make quick cuts to make them miss. He also caught 14 passes for 153 yards and two touchdowns last season. Dakari currently holds multiple Division I offers and I expect more to come his way this upcoming season.</p>    <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Wide Receivers:</h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">[player_tooltip player_id='1227241' first='Jason' last='Hagan'] played a key role in Trinity's state title run last season, catching 33 passes for 660 yards and nine touchdowns in 13 games. Hagan has shown an impressive ability to create separation, using both his speed and smooth breaks in his route to his advantage. He is also dangerous after the catch, showing the ability to get up the field quickly and use his speed in the open field to pick up extra yards. Hagan holds offers from Eastern Kentucky and Lincoln, and I wouldn't be surprised to see more come his way soon. </p>     <p class="text-gray-700">[player_tooltip player_id='1907206' first='Jakari' last='Matchem'] is coming off an outstanding sophomore year in which he led his team in receiving with 80 catches for 1,239 yards and 21 touchdowns in 12 games. Matchem is a skilled route runner, using his quick release and sudden breaks to create separation. He also has the speed to blow by opposing defensive backs in the deep passing game. Matchem also played a role on defense as a sophomore, recording 24 tackles and a team-high three interceptions. Jakari holds offers from Austin Peay State, Eastern Kentucky, and Murray State, and I expect more to pile up for him over the next couple years. </p>     <p class="text-gray-700">[player_tooltip player_id='1240849' first='Jude' last='Lanier'] is another McCracken County wide receiver who stood out as a sophomore. In 11 games last season, Lanier caught 55 passes for 816 yards and six touchdowns. Lanier is a very reliable target in contested catch situations as he has shown the ability to use his strong hands to catch passes away from his body, regardless of what type of coverage is around him. He also does a great job of using his speed and quick breaks in his routes to create easy separation. Lanier also returned a kickoff for a touchdown last season and came away with an interception on defense. Jude holds offers from Memphis, Nicholls State, and Murray State, and I can definitely see more coming his way moving forward. </p>    <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Offensive Line:</h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">[player_tooltip player_id='2252092' first='KeeShun' last='Jackson'] caught my attention with a strong junior year. He lines up at left tackle where he is reliable both in pass protection and in the run game. In the passing game, Jackson gets into his pass sets quickly and does a great job of continuing to work to mirror opposing pass rushers to keep them away from the quarterback. As a run blocker, Jackson is often asked to down block as he has the strength to drive his man inside with ease to create an outside running lane. KeeShun is committed to Toledo where I can see him becoming a key piece of their offensive line unit. </p>     <p class="text-gray-700">[player_tooltip player_id='1284258' first='Rahzeon' last='Gillispie'] is an offensive lineman who has truly made a name for himself over the past couple seasons. Gillispie lines up at left tackle where he is a dominant run blocker. He is very impressive in open space, showing the speed to get to the second level with a sense of urgency along with the awareness to pick up blocks in the open field. Gillispie also does a great job of finishing his blocks quickly with a ton of physicality, resulting in frequent pancake blocks. Rahzeon currently holds multiple Division I offers and I expect more to come his way during his senior year. </p>     <p class="text-gray-700">[player_tooltip player_id='1222652' first='Xavier' last='Carter'] is another talented Frederick Douglass offensive lineman who has caught my attention. He lines up at right tackle where he is very reliable in the run game. Carter is explosive out of his stance and does a great job of driving his feet through contact to create movement off the line of scrimmage. He finishes his blocks through the whistle, often driving his man several yards down the field. Xavier has also shown some promise in pass protection, showing the ability to maintain a strong base while taking on contact, not allowing easy penetration into the pocket. Carter holds offers from UT-Martin and Southern Mississippi, and I fully expect more to come his way this season. </p>     <p class="text-gray-700">To wrap up my 2026 Preseason 6A All-State Offense, I have [player_tooltip player_id='2337067' first='Hudson' last='Rodgers']. Hudson is a versatile offensive lineman who has shown the ability to play both guard and tackle. In the run game, he does a great job of running his feet through contact to drive his man down the field with ease. He has also shown the strong punch to knock defenders off balance with ease. In pass protection, Rodgers has shown the ability to fight with his hands to keep inside position while keeping a strong base.
