UPDATED: Oregon 2028 Rankings (Top 200) 26-50

Per usual rankings are based on who projects highest at the collegiate level. You can be an outstanding HS athlete and not project to a high level of collegiate ball. The size helps with his impressive play over the offseason, making a difference. If the Bowmen air it out a little more, he could put up some legit numbers and have some noteworthy film.    Boatsman looks incredibly fluid for a 6-5 sophomore. He was (4-1) as a starter, hitting on 60% of his passes for 532 yards and 7 TD's/3 INTs. The Bowmen are typically a run first offense, but if they allow him to air it out, he could put up some impressive numbers.    27.[player_tooltip player_id='1076647' first='Kade' last='Laraway'] 5-10 200 RB/LB Mountainside   UPDATED: One of the best two-way players in Oregon. I could see him being a 1st or 2nd team all state LB and scoring double digit TD's opposite talented RB [player_tooltip player_id='1125493' first='Reece' last='Ballew'].    The undersized athlete was a beast for Mountainside as a sophomore, racking up 2nd team all-Metro honors at LB. I would expect him to be a key asset next season offensively, especially with the graduation of 1st team all-conference RB Jordan Hicks.    28. [player_tooltip player_id='1612598' first='Quenton' last='Lake'] 6-4 205 QB Silverton   UPDATED: Lake makes the move from North Salem to Silverton where he should fit in nicely with the reigning 5A state champs. The Foxes have continued to churn out collegiate QBs, so the transfer makes sense.    The 6-4 left hander threw for 15 TD's/6 INTs and 1,742 yards on 64% passing for what has been primarily a running team over the years at North Salem. You have to like his ceiling and what he has done thus far.    29.[player_tooltip player_id='1612591' first='Ethan' last='Peng'] 6-1 175 DB/QB Jesuit    UPDATE: Peng is one of the best baseball players in Oregon and has managed to up his stock on the football field at the same time. Expect to hear his name often and likely have a 1st team all-Metro season in the secondary.    I would expect Peng to be one of the better DB's in the Metro League next season. The Crusaders graduate a solid group of defensive players, and he should fill that void nicely, being able to play both CB/S equally well.    30.[player_tooltip player_id='1126329' first='Luke' last='Bergmann'] 5-9 165 Slot/CB Tualatin   UPDATED: The T Wolves are loaded on the perimeter, so I'm interested to see how this works out with Bergmann proving as a freshman what he can do at the varsity level. If he can stay healthy, the sky's the limit.    Bergmann missed his sophomore season due to injury but proved what he could do as a freshman at the Varsity level while still at Sunset. Look for him to be a key member of a top ranked T-Wolves program next year.    Bergmann made the transfer from Sunset after an outstanding All Metro season which saw him score 7 TDs with 18 total receptions. From a recruitment standpoint it's a size thing but he will be one of the best players in the state for his class.    31.[player_tooltip player_id='1609795' first='Mikey' last='Covey'] 6-2 200 OLB Cascade Christian    UPDATED: One of Oregon's 3A POY favorites on D. Covey has accumulated 112 tackles and 22.5 TFL's the last two seasons and could replicate those numbers this year alone for the reigning state champs.    Covey is a big physical athlete who can play on either side of the ball while projecting on D. He went for 691 total yards and 5 TD's and made 64 tackles with 15.5 TFL's and 5 sacks, helping his team to the 3A title. He was the only sophomore to earn 1st team all-state accolades.    32.[player_tooltip player_id='2106065' first='Mason' last='Powarczuk'] 6-4 220 OL Tualatin    UPDATED: All of a sudden, the T-Wolves line has a bunch of talent and experience returning with guys like Powarczuk being a key contributor last year. Projection wise a lot will depend on continued growth and the film he puts together.    Powarczuk started all season for one of the top programs in the state, earning honorable mention all TRL honors. He is very similar to 2028 teammate [player_tooltip player_id='2106063' first='Rocco' last='Grady'], with both possessing the frame necessary to add some significant size.    33.[player_tooltip player_id='1609799' first='Brennan' last='Christian'] 5-11 225 OLB/DE Willamette    UPDATED: Christian will be a conference POY candidate this season, making 70+ tackles with 10 TFL's and 8 sacks the last two years. He's a key reason the Wolverines could make a run to the title game.    Once again from a projection standpoint, it's hard to say because of size, but he's an incredibly impressive overall player. As a sophomore he made 26 tackles with 6 TFL's and 4 sacks.    34.[player_tooltip player_id='2109159' first='David' last='Carter'] 6-5 175 WR Ashland   UPDATED: The 6-5 wideout makes one of the biggest jumps up the rankings board after a phenomenal sophomore season where he caught 32 balls for 820 yards and 10 TD's, averaging 25.6 yards per catch. The Grizzlies have some dudes returning.    35.[player_tooltip player_id='1611484' first='Collin' last='Stortro'] 6-0 185 Safety/RB Glencoe   UPDATED: Coach Ian Reynoso continues to produce a couple of the top players in the state every year with Stortro looking like another one. Look for him to project on D while being a state statistical leader offensively.    Stortro will step in at the RB next year after earning all-league honors at Safety this past season. Daniel Heninger was a 1st team all-state back, and Stortro has that type of potential. Look for him to be in the Pacific Conference POY conversation right away.    36.[player_tooltip player_id='1609659' first='Cohen' last='Bissell'] 5-10 175 RB West Linn   UPDATED: Just a super talented overall athlete. Bissell garnered all TRL honors on both the football and baseball field as a sophomore, with the Lions winning the 6A title on the diamond.    Bissell killed it for the Lions this past season, garnering honorable mention all TRL accolades. On the year he totaled 720 rushing & receiving yards (8.8 ypc) and 7 TDs on 75 touches.    37.[player_tooltip player_id='1939267' first='Brody' last='Joyce'] 6-2 180 QB Canby    UPDATED: Joyce (no relation to coach Jimmy Joyce) makes a nice jump up the board after a solid sophomore season. The Cougars have a couple of talented classes coming up through the ranks, so this will be their time to shine.    Look for Canby to be one of the better teams at the 5A level in the years ahead. Joyce hit on 67% of his passes for 1,818 yards as a sophomore. The multi-sport standout has legit size and projects collegiately.    38.[player_tooltip player_id='1750578' first='Reef' last='Donahue'] 6-6 260 OL Central Catholic   UPDATED: There is still a lot yet to be determined here, but Donahue has the frame necessary to be a big-time prospect. One way or the other we will know based on what he shows against top competition this coming season.    39.[player_tooltip player_id='2182283' first='LJ' last='Leland'] 6-3 175 WR Wilsonville   UPDATED: One of Oregon's breakout players this offseason. Leland had 1700 yards and 18 TD's at the JV level last year and should immediately be a key target for top 5A QB [player_tooltip player_id='1359052' first='Trevor' last='Glos']. His ability to hoop helps as well.    40.[player_tooltip player_id='1609785' first='Taison' last='Cepeda'] 5-9 160 ATH Tigard    UPDATED: Really like this kid. Cepeda will be one of the top players in the TRL and be keyed on by opponents considering what he did last year.    Cepeda was the only sophomore athlete in the TRL to earn 1st or 2nd team all-conference honors offensively in the state's toughest league. He finished with 592 yards and 6 rushing TDs.    41.[player_tooltip player_id='1612569' first='Lincoln' last='Lutu'] 6-0 210 LB Beaverton   UPDATED: Lutu projects as a 1st team all Metro guy this season and brings a lot to the table coming from a football family. BHS will need to him play lights out if they want to compete in the conference.    42.[player_tooltip player_id='1609605' first='Karoderick' last='Smith'] 5-8 165 CB Tualatin    UPDATED: Tualatin is loaded to the point where numerous top 2028 prospects played JV ball last year, with Smith being another one. He should be one of the top ATH's in the TRL next season.    Easily one of the most talented kids in Oregon for his class. He's originally from Alabama and knows how to play good football. If he grows, he's a potential D1 guy at some level.    43.[player_tooltip player_id='1923716' first='Toka'one' last='Fakapulia'] 6-1 240 DE/OLB McDaniel   UPDATED: One of the state's breakout performers. Fakapulia garnered 2nd team all PIL honors on both sides of the football. His film on D speaks to his upside where he made 23 tackles, and a team leading 7 TFLs and 5 sacks.    44.[player_tooltip player_id='2131576' first='Xavier' last='Minor'] 6-3 170 ATH/WR Central Catholic   UPDATED: The big DB is long but didn't get a ton of varsity experience last season. That said as he looks like the real deal and had an outstanding offseason on the 7v7 circuit as part of Team Lillard. I like him to be one of Oregon's breakout performers at CC.    45.[player_tooltip player_id='1609778' first='Justin' last='Shellito'] 6-2 220 QB Centennial    UPDATED: Shelito had decent numbers as a sophomore, hitting on 65% of his passes for 1400 yards and 14 TD's. He has great size and should have dominant film this coming year considering who they are playing against.    It will be important for Shelito to get out on the camp circuit and show what he can do against top competition. He was able to help the Eagles go (4-5) last season, but it was against incredibly weak competition which is why the offseason is so important.    46.[player_tooltip player_id='1609774' first='Bentlee' last='Davenport'] 5-8 150 ATH Thurston   UPDATED: Expect Davenport to be one of the state's top two-way athletes at the 5A level next season. He was a 2nd team all-league selection at DB while catching 9 balls for 167 yards and 2 TDs offensively.    Super talented just small. Regardless of his size, expect him to play on both sides of the football at the Varsity level for the Colts this year, and likely be an all-conference athlete.    47.[player_tooltip player_id='1609776' first='Tevin' last='Candelario'] 5-11 155 CB/ATH Willamette    UPDATED: Candelario started as a sophomore for a loaded Willamette team that made the state quarterfinals. He was an honorable mention all-conference selection finishing with 29 tackles and 2 INTs.    Candelario was dominant playing freshman ball last season and could immediately step in for the Wolverines as a varsity starter on either side of the football this year. He's had one of the better off seasons of any player in the 2028 class.    48.[player_tooltip player_id='1609530' first='Ryder' last='Nagel'] 6-1 200 LB/RB Churchill   UPDATED: Nagel followed up a solid freshman season at the Varsity level, making 62 tackles with 16.5 TFL's and 4.5 sacks for a talented Churchill group. He was a 2nd team all-conference selection and should be one of the better RB's in the league next season as well.    49.[player_tooltip player_id='2105943' first='Waylon' last='Clarke'] 5-10 165 RB Caldera    UPDATED: People out in Central Oregon are aware but many others aren't. Clarke was the only sophomore to earn 1st team all Intermountain Conference Honors, finishing with 1,043 yards (9.7 ypc) and 13 TDs. His (10.9) 100-meter time puts him in a different category of athlete.    50.[player_tooltip player_id='1611487' first='Nolan' last='Wolfe'] 6-4 205 QB Glencoe   UPDATED: Wolfe has great size and continues to climb the rankings board quickly. As a sophomore, he passed for 885 yards and 12 TDs on a running team. He was an honorable mention all-Pacific Conference selection.
