Under-the-Radar 2027s With Breakout Potential

There aren't many camps and not many games to attend right now, but that doesn't mean we at Prep Redzone are sitting on our hands. On the contrary, we are hard at work. All throughout the summer, we'll be taking a look at some top returning starters and young prospects who will make a big impact as the season rolls around this fall, spotlighting several prospects. Here is our summer scouting notebook:    [player_tooltip player_id='1851320' first='Raekwon' last='Pettigrew'] is an outstanding two-way prospect who can make plays on the ball in coverage and does a great job of timing with breaking up passes. He has great closing speed on defense. On offense, he can be an electrifying playmaker with the ball in his hands, displays solid top-end juice and can break away and be a legitimate threat after the catch.     [player_tooltip player_id='2249153' first='Navin' last='Heard'] is a starting outside linebacker for Purcell Marian. Heard is very good at getting downhill. He takes great angles to the ball as both a run defender and pass rusher. Although slightly undersized, he makes up for it with his speed, instincts and closing speed, as well as pursuit angles. Has a high motor and definitely a name to keep an eye on.     [player_tooltip player_id='1905478' first='Moses' last='Ifakorede'] is a starting outside linebacker for Pickerington Central. The Class of 2027 linebacker is a good edge setter. Can lock out, shed blocks and plays with good bend, leverage and pad level. Has great play strength and displays excellent instincts as a run defender. Has good height and size. Limited tape. Transferred from New Albany High School.     [player_tooltip player_id='2249154' first='Matt' last='Richardson'] is a starting cornerback and wide receiver for Warren G. Harding. The Class of 2027 recruit is a very versatile playmaker with huge potential. Richardson is a dynamic punt and kick returner with good top-end speed and juice, vision and cutback ability. He has good ball skills at cornerback, snagging interceptions and keeping both feet in-bounds. As a receiver he can be very dangerous after the catch., Had five interceptions, two touchdowns, and 750 all-purpose yards with five pass breakups and 35 tackles on defense.
