His combination of length, instincts, and athleticism makes him one of the top young defensive backs in North Carolina.   Hilliard is a true playmaker who can run, deliver big hits, and create turnovers. His range and ball skills allow him to impact the game from anywhere in the secondary, and with another offseason of development, he has all the tools to emerge as one of the state's premier defensive prospects in the Class of 2028. As Northern Guilford breaks in new playmakers, Preston's ability to make contested catches, move the chains, and create explosive plays will be critical to the team's success. Expect him to see a significant increase in targets and production during his senior season. If he continues to build on last season's production, he could easily surpass the 1,000-yard mark and finish with double-digit touchdowns, giving the Nighthawks a reliable workhorse to build their offense around. As one of the Nighthawks' top returning defenders, Achina will be counted on to anchor the defensive front this season. His combination of power and mobility makes him a difficult matchup for opposing offensive lines, and he has all the tools to develop into one of the top defensive line prospects in the region.
